If your computer can take it just use a third party music player like VLC or similar. Gives you a broader variety.
Honestly even if your computer can take it, I would recommend just playing music on your phone. Easier to control, doesn't use system resources.

An additional music player will use system resources, which will affect the game even on an i9. The mod will do the trick, but you have to put the files in C:\, which uses up space the paging file might need. (unless you have massive amounts of space left on C:\, or installed the game on a different drive, of course.)
