Im wondering if the new mechanics are working right in this matter.
Right now, post 1.07, you cant excommunicate or lift the excommunications of any other Orthodox character that doesnt have the same religious head as you. Im thinking this (hardcoded, I think) trigger needs some work...
Of course, the principle of the thing is that the Patriarch in Constantinople doesnt have dominion over everyone, and thats fine, he's not the Pope. Every religional Patriarch should be responsible for those characters living in his area of religious influence. BUT, everyone ought to be able to talk to the relevant Patriarch on matters of excommunications, not just "theirs".
In other words, I'm im the Emperor in Constantinople, and want to lift the Excommunication of some guy in Antioch, I should have to deal with the Patriarch of Antioch, but I should be able to do so. Right now, because the guy in Antioch doesnt have " the same religious head ", ie, he's not under the Ecumenical Patriarch, I can't ask anybody to excommunicate him. Surely that's not WAD?
