Okay so currently I am the duke of Capua, an Orthadox Zealot, and my brother, also an Orthadox Zealot is Duke of Salerno. Before Gravelkind succession broke us up all of my land was Orthadox, however I swore fealty to Sicily instead of the Byzantine Empire, for a couple of reasons. What I had noticed is that the King is converting my provinces to Catholicism quicker that I can convert them back to Orthadoxsy. Within five years all 3 territories are Catholic and the Pope is laughing his balls off. Surely a local lord has more influence on his smallfolk that a King.
