I fired up a game recently to refamiliarize myself with it. Not bad with Revolutions, but some of the capitalist logic escapes me. Sad that many of my RGOs are more profitable than factories in 1850.
I also use an expendable checking account to pay for my online purchases.
My main concern is that there is little to do unless you are going to war a lot. I spend decades at a time letting my Cappies build away, occasionally promoting a POP here and there.
Makes me wonder how much there will be to do in Vicky 2.

Yeah, many countries would agree that it sucks that many RGO's are more profitable than factories.

Get VIP and play it, it's amazing with VIP. I'm playing it right now, more than HOI3, MW2, and EU3 HTTT combined...
There's only 5 RGOs I can think of in unmodded ricky that are more profitable than factories. Iron, coal, sulphur, silk, and precious metals. The first 3 are only even profitable BECAUSE of factory demand. If for some reason nobody built steel factories iron and coal would be pretty worthless by the game's end.
RGO? It has been a while, but I dont recall any regional government organisations in vicky - what are you referrring to here folks?
I played it for a couple of weeks, finished as all interesting countries (Japan was probably the best but Prussia was pretty sweet too) and never came back to it. Still don't feel like doing it.

Well, a lot of the factories capitalists delight in making--fabric, clothes, glass--are far less beneficial even then cattle (especially in, for instance Uruguay)
