I love playing as Driven Assimilators. It would be great to be able as Organic Assimilators - aka space zombies or body-snatching empire (the Host - 2013 movie). As far as I know, it is still not in the game, but it would be great to be able to assimilate other pops

Interesting concept, - so an organic species that just wants to absorb and assimilate other species without being a crisis to the the galactic community? That kind of thing?

I guess Necrophage is "kind of that" though but...

It's a +1 from me anyway, more flavour makes me happy.

Devouring Necrohive is the way to go. Its also a scary empire type to have become the crisis or bring to a multiplayer rp game. Being the hive that eats everyone and multiplies, through necrophage purge type, you can be the big bad.

If by body-snatchers you mean 'using the body as it looked,' that's a hive-mind with organic assimilation.

There is, actually! Being a hive mind with a necrophage origin works, and you have a special purge policy that transforms pops into your species. It applies to both of your examples.

They work via zombie rules or parasite rules depending on how you spin it. You can be a devouring swarm or a regular hivemind, whatever you prefer.
