Fast moving truck infantry into the enemy line can be helpful too. Just make sure the trucks are slightly spaced out so any sort of incoming fire won't dismount or destroy all the trucks. Playing this way with some vehicles supporting can help you seize ground, just barrage the areas ahead of your attack zone with artillery/planes to force falling back of any units that could check your advance.

Roads control most attacks, since fast moving is the best way to close the distance to a target or run away with minimal losses.

Great suggestion; gonna have to practice this; a lot of coordination involved! Timing!

Thank you!

Yes; I've found this to be the case; so basically, you're saying bring them up and disembark them on the road, and from there, direct the disembarked infantry to where you want them off-road?

Yes on roads or barely just behind the treeline just next to your road, but not far or it'll screw it up and you may give many orders with shift-move if you want from the disembark point to your definite location (but you surely will not have enough time to do it constantly). Always disembark them on roads or very close to them, it is way better and you'll get faster your units into location.
And yes, the deal is also always to disembark the more close to the frontline you can and it is often useful to disembark in front of your enemy paths. A good strategy is to smoke/panzerwerfer in front of your trucks to make infantry pushes close to the frontline without being on at guns range.
The location of your units in the start of a game is very important, i would suggest you to work your starts to see where it is better to put your units. For example, it's crucial to know the best places for at guns or the locations you may crossfire. All is about angles to shoot and not been shot in this game.
With practice, you'll know the maps better and better and automatically figure where to put your troops in the beginning and during the game, but for now the "C" shortkey is your best friend.

Make sure that once fighting starts out that your disembark point is out of range/sight of the enemy...think of finding a safe spot that you can muster your reinforcements in, and direct them into the fighting from there manually...then you only have to manage a couple of mustering points nearby your fighting line, and you can build up some reserves there.

One thing I will add, put a leader unit with your artillery...preferably one of those cheapie mobile 'support' tab ones. It boosts your guns I think.

HI UKCarbine, many thanks for this. I do know about the 'F' command, but hadn't considered bringing reinforcements into a reinforcement area as opposed to the front line; I'll give this a try.

I guess the reason I've been trying to play 4v4 is that I read a post somewhere that limiting my area of responsibility when learning to only a quarter of the front would reduce the workload to something manageable while I'm trying to learn the game. I played a fair amount of MoW: AS2, another one where I struggled to keep up.

Greatly appreciate the reply!

No Problem mate, happy to offer some nuggets of advice. I suppose there is good logic in being able to offer support to other team members on the map as this is part of the team aspect. It is a balance and a judgement call, no sense throwing units to helping a failing flank or sector if you yourself have few units on the ground. However I would maybe suggest focusing on your own front until you are comfortable doing that. Then branch out once you have a formula you are happy with, ie: a certain BG and map position you are comfortable fighting on.

I would be happy to have a few games with you, against the ai to go over some of the games basics, commands etc and see how you fair? I don't profess to be a 'pro' but I do hold my own with medium ai and have a fair number of 3v3 4v4 pvp games under my belt (wins). I just enjoy the game and If I can help some people feeling comfortable with the game then thats me doing a bit for the community. I'm not going to be able to offer the levels of advice the leaderboard players could but I can offer some.

Yeah I used to love AS2, some seriously good players on that.

So if you want to hit up some co-op games for orientation give me an add on steam, we usually play 3v3-4v4 closer combat. However can play which mode you want.
I use Teamspeak as it is far easier than typing, although we played with a bloke who wasn't comfortable joining comms, so we just used markers etc.

Anyway the offer is there mate, no obligation.
