So there is an option, but its only default or more. Why not less? Some of us dont like that new illness feature and would rather have it reduced or not at all.

I see no reason why we cant have this as an optional choice like other things. Persaonlly I dont like the new increased illness system. People die far too much, and I cant turn it off like Id like to.

seeing how that's all part of "reapers due" why not deselect it on the launcher? AFAIK that's the DLC focus so without it you have the patch with everything else in it.

The epidemics (slow fever, camp fever, smallpox) are fine. The random ones (great pox, cancer, lunatic, etc) are the ones that are a problem to some of us. I'd totally take an increase in the first to tone down the latter.......

Also it still bugs me, how can people be getting the great pox before the Aztecs Invade? Syphilis is the one disease the New World gave the Old World.

Actually, about 75% of the people that are dying in my games are dying from "poor health" not illnesses. Many at young ages. I want the added content and plagues. But the random deaths are far too frequent, nearly to the point of unplayability. The game has turned into "who to appoint to council next" game, and courteir death spam. Because they die too often.

I have disabled reapers due for now until they make some adjustments.

Really ?. Because that has not been the case for me. Although to be fair i started on the coast of England as Cromwell so maybe that is the case. But still the random deaths are fine.. The Medieval world was a harsh and deadly place. Many people did not live for long during it and those that did only did because they were in good health and had a very healthy lifestyle

Also dying of poor health in the middle ages I would have to believe was common. ( but i could be wrong ).
