First off, yes I know there is an event that pop's up and gives you an option to put a person on house arrest.

Second off, yes I noticed I accidentally said 'of' instead of 'on' in the title.

Anyways, the event is too random for me especially when you have multiple prisoners from a war, and I have seen some counts or dukes I wanted to sell off, die inside the dungeons before the wars are over, or before they had enough money to pay for thier ransom.

I just want an option in the character diplomacy screen to put any current prisoners on house arrest. And I was hopeing the button that would be made for this would convert into a 'send back to prison' option just in case you change your mind.

Does anybody else agree with me?

Is there any advantage to be had putting a prisoner on house arrest? To me it just seems extending an invitation to him/her to escape.

I've put about 10 people on house arrest and had 1 person escape. I have had several of those people try to escape but they are always captured.

The only advantage really is less chance said person dies before you can collect on the ransom.
