Hi all,

I'm a big EU3 fan but I haven't bought EU4 yet because I think that frankly the bump mapping on the non-geographic mapmodes looks ugly and more importantly, distracts horribly from the text and the borders. In EU3, the zoomed-out map is flat and borders/text can be seen clearly. Perhaps Paradox could provide an option to "flatten out maps / remove bump mapping" in a future EU4 update? Until or unless they do that, I won't buy it.

While I agree there should be an option, there are a few mods that take care of this in the mean time. I'm pretty sure they don't change the checksum either, so you can still play ironman
