While AoD is, without a doubt, a considerable improvement over HOI2, there are some features which could have made experience considerably more enjoyable.

1. Decisions Interface. Ability to trigger events with a click ala EU3
2. Reworked TC to be saner/more interesting/more dynamic. For example, adding a TC Slider and IC upkeep cost for TC. If slider set above upkeep, TC slowly expands (and so does upkeep), if below, it slowly contracts.
3. Revolt risk management abstraction and interface. As it is now, you have to place Garrisons in a checker-pattern all over Europe. This is tedious, un-enjoyable and does not add strategic depth. A layer of abstraction would be much welcome (i.e. Interface in which suppression points can be assigned to regions.)

... surely only if you play as Germany .... ;)

As AoD is built on the EU2 engine might not the event triggering idea be very difficult / impossible??

Does your TC idea mean you could choose to use more IC to raise it? ie a variation on what you can now do with research??

Personally, I prefer the way events trigger in AoD. In my opinion, the fact that events(both historical and random) trigger automatically with the right conditions/dates increases immersion and is more fitting for a game like AoD because of the more specific timeline compared to EU3.
