So apparently the ''opinion of predecessor' modifier tracks the titles. It takes the opinion towards the previous holder and applies it to the current owner. This leads to some strange things with viceroyalties.
In my Byzantine game I started to notice counts with -100 opinions towards me when handing out duchy viceroyalties I just inherited. The previous viceroy pissed off some people and now they hate me, just for holding the title. Why would you do that? I didn't castrate you, it was the guy's father the county next door.
Usually when a viceroy goes on a rampage and starts blinding and revoking left and right, I would just give the title one generation down the line to the offended party and watch the hilarity ensue. Now I can't do that, or can I?
Seriously, if I give the title to the guy with the negative predecessor modifier, will he stop hating me (and start hating himself)? Since I don't hold the title anymore.
It's an ironman game so I'm not about give myself headaches by granting a duchy to someone who hates me.
Anyway, the devs should still look into it, wether it's WAD or not.
