try attacking before the pesky americans get involved or have time to bolster UK defences, i always find sending the entire luftwaffe on navy strike in the english channel with escort fighters will keep it free of ships so you can launch an amphib assault hassle free

British navy is crushed, thats why the year is 1944, it took me 2-3 years to crush the british navy and combined US/UK airforce over the island. But i dont have any BBs, only (20)CA, (50)DD, (50)CL and of course (16)CV. My Airforce is (20)TAC, (20)INF, (20)FTR large, all jets... I am considering abonden the game... I also have 18 Marines ready for action, no paratroopers though...

Without paratroopers, this won't work, so get some. But 20 CA and 16 CV is quite a lot of shore bombardment. You might have to play ugly and logistic strike the whole British Isles into zero infrastructure, but it should be doable.
