1942.
May, 23rd.
The free world is holding its breath.
2 years after the infamous invasion of the British home island, the German eagle spreads its wings to clash with its American brother.
Canada is to fall first - Within 10 days the vital cities of Halifax and Saint John are occupied by German troops and provide a safe bridgehead for the German troops. But how could this all have happened?
--2 years earlier--
After the devastating series of defeats in Poland and France during 1939, the unstoppable German Wehrmacht steps over the channel to invade Great Britain. America, outraged by the defeat of France, had already joined the Allies in the winter of 1939, but could not prevent the German landing in May 1940.
Covered by a fleet of several battleships, a carrier and serious air-power, Germany was able to secure the area around Dover and quickly pushed the British garrisions back.
After this initial stage of the operation, the troops conquered London and quickly drove to the north, securing the Island within the summer.
In 1940 and 1941, German the fleet-buildup was intensified to prepare for the next long-term-plan: An invasion of America.
Step by step, Germany forwarded its naval presence deeper into the west, conquered Iceland, Greenland and finally, Newfoundland - which would serve as the final base before the invasion could start.
Until the end of may, the first wave of the invasion-force had gathered in Newfoundland, ready to move out.
The order came on the 22nd of May, 1. and 2. Marinesturmkorps began their preparations for the landing...
The initial landings near the vital port of Halifax did not meet any resistance, though the situation was still critical as the troops now had to conquer the port to establish a supply-line.
Heavy fighting ensued within the upcoming week, when the US-Navy tried to encounter the german invasion-fleet. They managed to sink the Battleships Bismarck, Tirpitz and Hindenburg as well as several smaller vessels, but the Carriers of the fleet survived and managed to retreat into the just secured harbor of Halifax.
Finally, the second objective for Phase 1 was secured, when Saint John fell into the hands of the German 1. Fallschirmjäger-Division.
Now, the way was open for the heavy troops to push into the enemy land.
During the first days of June, the Wehrmacht advanced further south, while heavier resistance gathered in Bangor.
To the north, the Wehrmacht was almost unopposed and again it was a quick strike of the Fallschirmjäger that conquered the city of Quebec on the 17th of June 1942.
But the hardest part was still to come...

Note:
This is, as you can see, a gameplay-AAR, not very much narrative, with lots of pictures and so on. The reason is, that I am quite lazy and do not want to take the risk of writing huge texts for nothing. Maybe, if enough people are interested and my motivation is high enough, you will see some more descriptive parts. But not for now.
I know that my approach is rather uncommon - conquering england is one thing, conquering America a very different. I will try it nevertheless and maybe I will fail severly. Depends on the Soviet Union as well. Right now, their Neutrality is still at 72% and I can hope they will not attack me. If they do, I will have the nastiest 2-frontline-war ever.
The reason to attack America was that it entered the war fairly early, in 1939. As my friend stated: "It would not be wise to attack the SU now, or do you want to have the second industrial superpower against you?" - So I chose to kick out the Americans first - now, or never.
I will give you an overview of the current state of the world in the next update, right now I do not have the picture at hand.
By the way, speaking of updates: Do not expect me to update daily - I will update as I play and depending on how much people are demanding me to continue writing. The higher the interest, the higher my motivation
Have fun while waiting for the next episode!
