Opening thread brings to first unread post

Usually, when I click a thread, I want to see the first post. If I wanted the first unread post, I'd click on the little arrow icon next to the thread. It's kinda annoying having to go through an extra page load just to get to the OP. I don't see anything in settings to change this, but still, is there any way to fix this issue?

Click the date/time under the post title and it will load the original post

While I understand that way of getting the first page in unintuitive, can I just say having first unread as default is wonderful when using a tiny smartphone. I almost never need the first page, unless it's also the first unread page, so I hope Paradox don't feel like there's no love for the feature when they see all these threads pop up.

Refinement is all that might be needed to cater for those who for whatever reason keep returning to a page one, or haven't completely read the thread.
