Patch Release ETA/Round 3 in Beta?
just wondering if there is a general estimate as to when the next patch will be released for the main version of the game. Or at least when the round 3 patch will be implemented to the beta.
i tried re-updating my beta version to see if the Portugal fix would implement but it didn’t so I’m assuming it’s not released yet or I did something wrong.
Thanks devs for all the hard work! Sorry this update bombed the code with bugs, but you guys seem really on top of it! Having a blast with the new content!

"Support tank variants now get -0.95 breakthrough" I must say I do not like it. there will not be any reason to build light tanks anymore. outside of cheap as possible ones. light tanks will be useless same as in old system. and that is a shame.

The round 3 version did indeed release already, take a look at your checksum on the opening menu of HOI. If it matches the checksum on this thread (b4f8) then you have it. If not something went wrong in how steam installed it.
Is for testing the new bugfixes being delivered, is not meant as a final product so yeah bugs and unbalanced settings are common. Is meant for the pleyerbase to help clean up the base game of issues. If you find an issue in the beta you should report it to review

What is the current status of Germany's "Treaty with the USSR" focus on the beta patch?
If I want to get the 2 x 100% Armor research boosts, what should I do with the 1934 Medium Tank Chassis research when the focus completes? Should I have that chassis completed, have that research in process, or not even start the 1934 research at all until after the focus completes?
There are lots of bug reports about not getting the desired variants, and others have mentioned not getting the armor bonuses either. It's not easy to tell if folks are talking about the current beta patch or not when they report their issues.

I researched the chassis first before doing the treaty and got everything (the Mark 3 and Mark 4 variants and the research boosts).
Look at the text of the Focus:
"Finishing research into the Basic Medium Tank Chassis will allow us to capitalize on this treaty and utilize two new tank designs:"
So, I would say that it works as designed.
You get two armor research boni.
And if you have the 1934 Medium Tank Chassis, you get the two variants for free.

Do you know if paradox employees are working on Saturday, that is today? That's why I'm asking. Is there any chance of the new patch coming out today?
They've been active the last couple of weekends - given they're humans (and good ones), I hope (unless they'd prefer otherwise of course) they're not working this weekend. Working 6-7 day weeks persistently (particularly in the context of intense stuff, which I imagine working to patch a recently-released game is) can get pretty wearing pretty quick.

explaining "buggy as hell" for you and why game is unplayable:
1. Play Japan
2. Conquer China
3. Start war with Allies
4. Watch your supply to India go all the way from Korea via lvl 1 railroads and rivers instead of port in Hong Kong
5. Try to reroute supply by all possible means upgrading port, blocking sea zones, building railroads
6. Quit game
7. Submit bug
8. Get response "Works as designed"
9. Force thread until moderator agrees to pass it to developers and mark as "confirmed" 3 days later
10. Never buy anything on release

game is currently unplayable the moment you need to supply oversea. People who interested in only roleplaying Germany vs USSR arc up to 1942 may not see it, but for anyone else trying to get from the main continent or do any naval invasion game ends the moment "unlucky" supply route is randomly created and there is no way to change it. I'm going to chime in here and say as a veteran of the Franchise from 2002 with the original I feel they should just abandon HOI4. Take what they have try and clean it up as best they can, learn from the disaster it has become and try again down the road and definitely do better. They should focus primarily on getting all the core/key mechanics working first and foremost before then tweaking the less critical things like focus trees and events and such. I'm not going to be playing any moire HOI4, going back to HOI2 where I can have more fun.
