I'm tired of looking at the infantry that does not pay attention to tank HE charges and antiaircraft guns. I'm talking about infantry airborn divisions. I agree that this infantry should be especially strong, but not so much as tanking Cromwel HEs, antiaircraft guns and machine guns in order to have time to run up to them across the field without any stunning. It seems like until the last patch in the beta this was not.

Yes 3rd Fall is probably slightly too strong. That said maybe its deserved as its the only Axis Div which can compete with Allied Infantry.

Like in the Beta no Axis Infantry could ever compete with any of the allied ones good they mixed that up a little :) now they just have to find the right Balance.

Could you elaborate on this? I'm pretty sure that panzergrenadiers were always better that all flavours of various allied rifles.
Comparison not 20 points unit versus 30++ points unit who wins but overall deck infantry composition price/performance, veterancy and availability. Also utility of cheaper more available infantry with still decent performance like 15-20 rifles or 25 vetted machineguns and such.

Well, I dunno. Speaking of fair comparison, we could take beta's 12 SS vs 3rd AD, both armored divisions, both limited to a small number of infantry, but I would pick grenadiers over rifles any day. Overall I would rather pay 35 pts for a grenadiers in Opels than 20 pts over rifles in Bedfords because of the sheer power they provide. They're no quite good in CQC, of course, but x2 MG are such a powerful tool.
The only downside is that the grenadiers are considerably less available, that's true. But Axis infantry deck from Beta, Luftlande that is, relied on even cheaper and even more numerous weak infantry. And at least my own experience tells me that bunch of reservist + couple of good squads with powerful MGs are much better than an equivalent amount of mediocre troops. That could be just my playstyle, of course.

So the Axis has obvious superiority in tanks...
Also 716 infantry have a lot of cheap infantry and powerful artillery in the compartment with the superiority of MG42 is enough.

I still think that it is not right to go to the balance, so as to bring some other weak divisions closer to the border of uselessness.

PS.
I also wanted to add that the infantry is only infantry, no matter how skillful it is, it dies equally from the massive fire.Yes it can hide better and shoot better but not more than that.

If you want the infantry battles to be more balanced, make LMGs have no minimum range.
That way pgrens can actually compete in forests.

I am unsure why this minimum 100m range was introduced in the first place. Maybe to give assault infantry more edge?

I think it must have to do with townfighting becoming extremely lethal for assault infantry.
But I guess thats where mortars/arty should come in to support the enigneers/pioneers.

I dont think the 100m minimum range has been in the game the whole time, and also interestingly, I do not believe it applies to tripod MGs?

716th do not get MG42s. They get MG34s. 352nd has access to MG42s.

Personally, I would like to see the German MG units have their range reduced by 100m. Still better than allied range (and it should be) but a slight nerf. Along similar lines, I think the PIV range should be increased to 1100, right now the Sherm's fast aiming time makes it a much stronger tank than the PIV, and that just shouldn't be the case... but that's another topic.

Quite possibly. If they'd just remove the damage taken modifier when you're moving that'd be fine though.
