In December 1935 the president of the United States, Franklin D. Roosevelt announced his program to combat unemployment, then known as the New Deal. This program was seen as "dangerously left leaning" and "socialist" in the eyes of many Fascist Elements within the USA.
To combat the in his distorted view imminent installation of a "communist Barbary" on American soil the Archibal O'Donahue, an agent of the now defunct FBI assassinated FDR when he was leaving the White House for a pre-election goodwill tour in January 1936.
To hide its own involvement the FBI blamed it on the CPUSA and began a harsh crackdown on the Party and its leaders, paired with reactionary legislation made to completely eliminate peoples rights. Upstanding workers and ordinary citizens would take it an took to the streets. Soon riots broke out in all major cities and the U.S. Army was called to quell the popular uprising. Regular Army units and National Guard units didn't always follow the orders to shoot their comrades and in many cases sided with the workers.
Right-Wing elements within the Armed Forces, under the Leadership of General Mc Arthur seized this opportunity to seize power and to install a fascist dictatorship modelled after Mussolinis Italy. The Leader of the CPUSA, Comrade James Patrick Cannon who had been designated by the Party Central Commitee to run for President in November rallied the Masses behind the CPUSA and marched on Washington. After the Assault on the White House he decleared the formation of the U.S.S.A. or Union of the Socialist States of America.

The Troubles werent over. Fascist Elements within the Southern regions and the extreme west of the Union decleared independence. They rightly gambeled that the American Peoples Army would be too busy to root out counterrevolutionary elements within the Areas it already controlled to march against them. They knew that the USSA would sooner or later come to reclaim its lost lands btu hoped that they could build up their own forces to mee the threat.

So then. There seem to be a lot of alternate US AARs out there and so I thought I'd add my onw completely implausible idea to that group.
SOCIALIST AMERICA!
HOI II DDA 1.1, normal/agressive, no cheats, some modding, mainly graphics and some events. SKIF is in use, but no other major mods. kudos to Miihkali who coded one of the events as my own just wouldn't work.
Updates will be posted on weekends only ( and in Central european Midday ) as school keeps me occupied for the rest of the week. Not so much narrative like my previous AAr attempts and there will be almost instant action. ANd as always I had to rely on my word processors spellcheck.
