Yep, War of the Worlds fits perfectly, date-wise. Fingers crossedI actually don't know the reaction, but I personally like it. However if they are going to do something ridiculous, it needs to be all or nothing.
Yes, that's right, we need a start date for when the War of the Worlds starts, humans vs martians, make it happen.
Just little scenario like hoi3 is nice.
No diplomacy, country management. You are a manstein and ordered to take Stalingrad etc
I don't think I've ever played the later dates, not sure why, just didn't hold the same interest for me. I have played some of the mods that had earlier start dates though - there was an excellent one that started with the Spanish civil War, but wasn't able to find it again after my computer ate itself a couple years ago.
Don't listen to the hatersI think some good alt history DLCs, like communist 1936 Germany, would be very popular
Paradox didn't make Kaiserreich and the people who use it want to use it - so yes, I'm not surprised it gets high praise (as well as being a great mod). But not everyone uses Kaiserreich (as is to be expected). What happens when there are official ahistorical stuff is those who don't want to use ahistorical mods claim that the devs' time could've been or should've been spent on more important things (usually bug fixes, balancing, &c). To an extent they'd be sort of right, but with Sunset Invasion it was pointed out that on the dev side it was only a very minor amount of work (a few events, a few things added to the common folder). The majority of the work was graphical and the graphics people weren't even working on the upcoming patch, so their labor was "free" in the sense that it wasn't delaying anything. So that's why everyone loved Kaiserreich.
