This is my third mission. There was only one contract available, so I took it. I must travel to a system for the contract and travel is paid as part of the contract. I have gone to the navigation window, selected the target system. There was an animation of traveling to (I think) a jump point. I arrived there. When I look on the navigation map, it shows a dashed line between my current system and the system I want to go to, but with the destination system selected, it says: Travel Not Possible / Current Destination.

There are no other contracts to take and I cannot travel to the place I must go to to complete the only one available. What do I need to do? I have gone through all the dialogues with the NPCs hoping to figreout what is needed, but I haven't a clue. I cannot find a button that says "Go"...

I realize this may just be my lack of understanding of how to play the game. Any help appreciated.

Once you accept a contract involving travel, you will automatically travel to the appropriate system. If you accepted a contract involving travel, then used the star map to travel to a different system, you would have forfeit the contract. If you are currently located in the correct system for the contract (you can see where you are by looking in the lower-right of the main Argo / Leopard screen) then there should be a yellow button above the advance time button on the main screen allowing you to begin the mission.

The general flow of contracts is:
  1. Choose contract and negotiate price & salvage.
  2. If the contract doesn’t involve travel, begin mission.
  3. If the contract does involve travel, you will automatically travel to the correct system and a pop up will ask if you want to begin the mission on arrival.
Other information: Travel Restricted means the system you are attempting to travel to is currently inaccessible. More systems can be travelled to as you complete the storyline priority missions.
