What's the full annex trick? The full annex trick is your trick to save DIP? Or do you have another trick?
What's the full annex trick?
What's the full annex trick?
Ah, I didn't know that. Sounds more like a bug than anything legitimate, but hard to avoid, I guess.Full annex a country never cost diplo.
Late game sieges are slower than pre 1.12 mass assaults. Much, much, much, slower. I could consistently occupy the entirety of France in 2 years or less if I was rolling late game in 1.11.
But a major offset you didn't mention that makes 1.13 1-tag friendly is that administrative efficiency now applies to both core and diploannex cost, the latter creating a consistent 1 DIP/dev trade and the former opening available-to-all overseas coring 1 ADM/dev.
These two combine to drastically reduce the late-game point cost of acquiring territory, even though the early game cost is significantly higher. For a 1-tag goal, the amount of land you can put cores on in the last 100 years is staggering, probably around 10000 development in theory.
I do not consider the AE to be significant; for truce breakers or just "on-end" war chainers who were roling late game it's a marginal difference. Maybe it makes your early snowball somewhat easier?
Of course, if you're willing to settle for greyskin I'd argue that earlier versions were more 1-tag friendly due to the fast revoke and overwhelming amount of points-free territory you could pick up with feeding tricks.
I have more, one is really well known and I have been using it for ages but the other one not so much but I don´t want to spoil the LP even more so please be patient that when the time comes I will explain it all.The full annex trick is your trick to save DIP? Or do you have another trick?
I accepted them; AFAIK there is only one event that is terrible (Janissary Landholders) because it can screw your economy or give you tons of rebellions until your current ruler dies but fortunately this event can only fire once. If we run a (very) healthy economy and have at least 1 year income as cash reserve at all times the Janissary events won´t be a big deal.Marco, Did you get in your world conquest the event for the janissaries, if you did, did you accept them or decline? im not sure in my run because the negative events wich can happen by it
This kind of bug-using is a bit too exploity for me, but it does go a long way towards explaining how you can afford the diplo points without getting one of the good CBs. Using stuff like this (unless it's hard to avoid, like the full annex bug I learned above) somewhat demeans your achievements in my eyes, since the game mechanics are clearly not intended to work this way.I have more, one is really well known and I have been using it for ages but the other one not so much but I don´t want to spoil the LP even more so please be patient that when the time comes I will explain it all.
If I played the game the way it was meant to be played it could be very, very boring for me and it would certainly not let me break any records. The points limitation in-game is/can be extremely gamey (...) so a big part of the fun for me is to be able to bypass the gamey rules (aka break the game)This kind of bug-using is a bit too exploity for me, but it does go a long way towards explaining how you can afford the diplo points without getting one of the good CBs. But if that's your cup of tea, did you know you can sell ships without actually giving them to the AI to make money out of nothing? DDRJake did this in one of his recent campaigns. If you send the AI an offer to sell a fleet while paused, then open the exchange ships view advancing the game one day to get their reply, you can move the ships you "sold" into the other fleet, keeping both the ships and the money. This can theoretically produce a crapton of ducats if you're willing to use it. I'm slightly tempted to see how well I'd do in a campaign with bug using (certainly worse than you) but don't really want to spend the time.

Oh, and also, someone posted a bug lately (forgot who) that allows you to turn your starting leader into an arbitrarily good (he made his a 99/99/99/99) general even in ironman by savegame editing and bug using, if you want to go there.
Yeah, I'm not trying to hate on you, or anything. People have different tolerance for what they consider borderline acceptable exploits and over the top (for example, some people consider exploiting vassal feeding by transfering occupation as an exploit, while I'm perfectly fine with it, and I guess you could even find people who consider things like luring the AI into a stackwipe situation to be unacceptable). As long as we are up-front about what we do - and what can be more up front than full video coverage - it's all in good fun until the devs decide to fix the bugs or bad design that allows it. It does make finish times harder to compare, obviously, but due to the high randomness in the game where rulers and such are concerned, these are pretty hard to compare anyways. If I played the game the way it was meant to be played it could be very, very boring for me and it would certainly not let me break any records. Yes I heard about those 2 tricks before; they are both amusing, the ship one is something that I would use while the other one not so much because it is very OP but above all it requires one save to be edited so (in short) it is not my cup of tea.
I understood you loud and clear but even if you were hating by comparison with the heat that I got by showing the world a WC as a micro power in HOI III or using an all artillery division to trash everyone in a way that most (everyone?) thought it was impossible in HOI III Black Ice you were incredibly polite. This is the way that I like to play strategy games: I am always thinking in ways to do take advantage of existing rules/mechanics to achieve better results.Yeah, I'm not trying to hate on you, or anything. All of them I guess but you left out "fastest one tag WC"; btw as I said before anyone with the skill and patience (to deal with tons of rebs) can easily beat this record by going ADM>DIP>REL instead of my idea selection.Out of curiosity, what is this supposed to be a record of? Fastest 1.13 WC? Your fastest WC? Fastest Ottoman WC?
