Finding online magicka pvp matches is becoming really difficult now because there aren't any permanent servers available and there's only a few people playing public games without passwords. I read that dedicated servers are going to be difficult to add but i think having one public dedicated server that stays permanently open would really help the pvp and the game.

what i suggest is to have a map (havindr arena?) which can be joined at any time, and there will be about five minute (or ten) 1v1 or 2v2 matches going on through out when there are people available.

when one match is over players will be randomly selected from people who haven't had a match yet, (or had the least number of matches). the others can watch from outside the arena(or seats?). Maybe the spectators can be given magiks(rarely) that can be cast on the arena.

Implementing 1 dedi or 2 dedis just as difficult (it's the same code)... Indeed I think dedis are a "must", in fact the netcode in general needs improvement. But as Arrowhead already said the initial design is bad so improving it will be difficult / impossible.

Then again, it's their first game :), and for a first game they've done a hell of a good job imo :) The first game I made also had some pretty embarrassing network system.
