I'm really enjoying this DLC. It's one of the best IMO.
Like Conclave and Way of Life it takes aspects of the game (in this case diseases) and adds some dank mechanics ontop of them to evolve them into beauty.
The fact I'm able to do everything in my power to prevent diseases really means a lot as in the past you could just sit there and look at your whole country as it got consumed.
Thanks Paradox.
With that said however. I do hope you'll still continue with some quality of life improvements even after the game has gotten its last DLC.
Right now, I find the Way of Life to be one of the best systems in the game but there's some quirks.
When you have 11 kids the education can very quickly be overwhelming. Especially if your past family members has had a lot of kids aswell.
I'd like to see an option that allows you to have the parents dictate their own child's education (If I don't care about my cousin and his kids I should be able to mark his as "irrelevant") - Or even have your own kids just "randomise". Especially useful if you don't care after a certain point.
But more importantly! Can we please be allowed to set our child's second education before-hand ? If I want my son a Martial training I'd likely go Struggle and then Martial but why can I not decide this when he is first born? It's a small task but when it's a task you have to repeat 20-30 times in your lifetime it becomes more tedious than anything else.
Also the UI to see the most effective education would be useful (2nd stage)
If I do, again, Martial and my son has Idoliser it'd be nice if there was a small (yellow?) glow at the little red text that tells me he'll be hampered. If you don't memorise the traits you have to spend quite a lot of time comparing traits to see which training would be the most effective (If you say, don't care about what he becomes but just that he becomes the best of whatever he can).
Maybe even a green / red arrow besides the education in the wheel that describes if it'll be hampered or improved by the kid's current traits. You've got Haughty? Green arrow at Martial. You got Idoliser too? No arrow (or a third marker for "neutral).
This could really help quickly picking the ideal education by better conveying information already available.
Anyway..
Sorry about the rant. I really just wanted to praise you for the DLC.
Thanks for the disease improvements
