Seriously, this has to be one of my favourite Flashpoints so far. The entire plot I found to be laugh-out-loud funny. From the moment you see that glasses wearing parrot, on your Vid screen, you know that this is not going to be any ordinary story. The sketchy nature of our "Trustworthy Client" is also a source of great humour, as is the simple fact that all of these battles are taking place for the sake of Star League era OFFICE SUPPLIES!!!!
I also do love the fact that your very first Flashpoint decision is to dismiss this guy as a crank, outright, or to take the job regardless of how sketchy he seems.
On a more serious note, though, this Flashpoint did force me into a difficult situation. I am now at a stage where I have moved on to Medium & Heavy mechs, so was struggling to find a Lance that would meet the tonnage limits of the first mission. Luckily I happened to have a Blackjack in storage, so I quickly prepped it & fitted it with basic weaponry.
Needless to say, for the second part of the Flashpoint, I chose the option that allowed me the freedom to bring along a largely Heavy lance (Quasimodo, my Hunchback; Nimrod, my Orion; Pellinore, my Black Knight (I wonder if anyone gets the Pellinore reference
) & Shogun, my Kintaro).
On a final note, for such a comedic flavoured, 2 skull mission, the overall payout was actually pretty decent, & I got 2/3rds of a Stalker into the bargain!!!
Seriously, Harebrained Schemes, more Flashpoints like this one in the next DLC would be greatly, greatly appreciated. I was laughing almost every step of the way
