Following a desertion event I found my danish Bermuda garrison to be of a total of one - 1 - soldier. I just left the poor bastard there until the following colonial war with Spain - he conquered two spanish provinces single handed! I ought to give the guy a medal

I once had a random event in an exploring army with conquistador of 15K. It was somewhere in the Midwest and all of a sudden a mas desertion left only the leader and a soldier behind. I guess they didn't like him much ...

Could be worse...as you'd know if you'd ever had a critical assault repelled by a robotic 6 pounder cannon fighting on long after its programmers had fallen to the bayonet.

My 10,000 man army is just too exhausted for two months to take a city defended by kitchen furnature blockades and 6 guns. Go to bed, get some sleep, and take that city tomorrow morning for heaven's sake!

How about the one rebellious dude who managed to take over three of my far eastern colonies as Russia,leaving me no choice but sending 20k all the way down the corridor, losing 15 of em
