Has anyone ever done this? I'm not even sure if it's possible. Everything in the world has to either be owned, puppeted, or in your faction as the UK.

Some pitfalls immediately come to mind, like countries with neutral foreign policies that never cause world tension. The only way getting them to join allies is getting the AI to attack them, and that's not even guaranteed. Good luck getting the AI to declare war on Chile or Switzerland. Then there's other nations that are non-aligned, not sure if they'd join if you turn them democratic.

Then there's the Chinese United Front, if Japan doesn't dissolve that you're pretty much SOL too, cause they don't cause WT or ever leave.

You could pull some shenanigans by briefly turning fascist/communist and justifying, then turn back, but that's a bit cheating IMO and not in true flavor of the achievement.

So I guess it's impossible as of now?

Seems impossible if you want to stay democratic, but that's not part (I think) of the achievement, so feel free to switch ideologies. I guess you could reject France's ally attempts, then wait for the Nazis to conquer everything, then risk everything beating up the world hegemon that will be the Nazis.

Understood. I've done it going fascist. This route was appealing to me cause it seemed to avoid the brute force method of painting everything (not that I don't enjoy that, it has its place :). The diplomacy in this game really needs to be renovated, but that's another thread.

Yeah, they really need some form of 'democratic pressure' or something to make the first 5 years as a democracy not a reactionary, uneventful game.

It can be done as Fascist or Communist. It is inherently impossible as a democratic UK under the current diplomacy system tmk.

Staying democratic from the start, I don't see how you bait SA countries/Tibet/Bhutan all into being willing to join. You can get pretty far, but not all of them.

You can make some headway by staging a coup on non-democratic nations, since if they win the civil war they get a little WT. This still won't help with places like Uruguay where they start democratic and go neutral foreign policy. I can see 100% democratic world pretty easily but not all in allies without some temporary UK switch shenanigans.
