On what basis is the screenshot selected?

This is not whining for a specific part of the map! - That, I suppose, is best to start off with not to fear off every admin and their moderator-mother.


What I mean is that, how much legal issues, NDA-fiddling, marketing consulting and such actions are went through before the Friday screenie is up?

Or is it just a random picture than Johan randomly randomizes from the randomized pile of random randomities?


And also... (I know you can`t answer this, so it is fun as heck to ask it ).... How much does Paradox earn from exclusive screenshots sold to miscallenious companies? (Gamespot at the moment, at least)

Johans picks them on the basis of what will confuse you the most, and above all, nothing that hints about the fact HoI2 will be a FPS- Urk!

LOL! HOI2 will be subtitled "The Revenge of the Return of Castle Wolfenstein". At the end, you'll have to kill cybernetic Robot Hitler once again. It will be really confusing to those playing Germany.

FPS? I tought it was a roleplaying game. I mean, look at all the named characters. Was realy looking forward to role-play as Rommel. Ah well, a firt person shooter with Paton as your main character must be a blast too.

Johan usually picks them based on whatever he happens to be looking at on a Friday morning or sometimes based on "that'd be cool to show them" comments from betas on IRC. A couple weeks ago I said something to him about the how great the tech screen now looked anad asked him if he was planning to post a screenie of it. I don't know if he intended to post it anyway, but a day later that's what you guys got to look at.
