I am not asking for lots of micromanagement, only that things don't go always happily. You get to stab +3, et voila! A peaceful country forever and ever. It should be more difficult than that.

Agree with the above poster :)

Attrition should be high in some circumastances. In the Medieval wars, construction of forts etc... were halted for winter and all the kings did was generally drink and screw with young maidens :D

Attrition during summer should be low. Imagine how much attrition the crusaders under Richard would have? :) They would starve on their ships before invading :)

Alright, I'm getting sick of people even making a comparison between the Civilization series and EU. They are on opposite ends of the spectrum!

EU is historical world-based strategy game; Civ is just a bunch of ugly-looking tiles slapped together randomly. I hate the Civ series, I had Civ 2 long ago and played it for a week. I've played the "Call To Power" series too and those are nothing new. Same tile-based maps, ridiculous tech trees, terrible graphics, and boring gameplay. In EU there is substance, you actually feel like you're playing as a real nation determining its fate within the world. I just viewed the Civ 3 website and looks like it'll be the same crappy Civ series done over again..

Civ sucks, EU rules!

As for flags for rebels, I also prefer a more ambitious model. This would make it easier for you to decide how to solve the problems.

Nationalistic rebellion- flag of nation
Religious Rebellion-Cross, Crescent etc...
Peasant Uprest- Anarcho Syndicalism flag :)))
Domestic Uprest(gentry, peasant and burgeios)-hmmm... red white and blue? - for 18th century?

I thought all his ideas were great!!!... but this quote above is the best thing I have heard in a long time!
