On converters

I'm very happy about the CK2 to EU4 converter, although it does raise 2 questions.

I'm wondering if the converter from EU 4 to Victoria is going to happen during Victoria 2 or if the engines are so different it will have to wait until victoria 3?

Secondly- do you plan to link all of your games together? Rome -> CK -> EU -> MotE -> Victoria -> HoI -> EvW

I somehow doubt we'll ever see a Rome -> CK converter, the span of time between the two games is absolutely vast.

And MotE's time frame is also covered by EU, so a converter for EU to MotE to Vicky would be an extra extravagance.


Otherwise, however, I'd love to be able to play CKII, convert over to EUIV, then to Vicky II, kick some arse in WWII, and finally EvW into modern times... though I shudder to think what a mess the map of a game converted that many times would ultimately look like. AI struggles to keep nice borders for half of a playthrough of almost all those games.

Well at least with the CK2>EUIV converter you can convert from ANY date. So you should be able to export a 867 game to start a new EUIV campaign.

I do hope they end up making converters for EUIV>Vicky3(just a guess) and Vicky3>HOI4. That would make an almost 1100 year timespan.....if someone actually played it start to finish.....but my guess is that you play each until boredom: 1-200 years in CK2 and EUIV, and then probably play ALL of Vicky3 and HOI4. (because they are shorter time periods less boredom)

Definitely hard to get bored at a Vicky II game. There's very few countries you can start as that'll be so overwhelming awesome within a century that you feel you've accomplished all you can.

It's actually really easy to get bored, especially if you're not that into economic stuff...that's how I got bored of it in less than a year, and HOD did not reignite my desire to play it...

Nah. You can just play a Muslim in Ck2. Just kill your relatives and all you have to worry about is Jihad

Yes? My point is if you're not into the game's overall theme/mechanic, it'll get boring/frustrating pretty quickly.
