Very nice pics. I like it. I guess some of them will be download screans. Really good work.

You know, boys, that this here issue is right up there with the "Clergy Controversy" ... right? I mean, yeah, the map looks great and that does make for a more pleasurable gaming experience but getting all upset over which country gets which color is ... well, I think it's just ludicrous. I really do.
But don't get me wrong here. I think the Clio team did a great job and I'm really excited about the Paradox team using their efforts to enhance the Vicky 2 experience.
Where IS that dang waitress?
Yes, and the game can ship with the USA a lovely nice purple, and the State of Texas? Why that can just be YELLER, yeah that's right I said it, YELLER, like a lil baby chick'n.
Or, the game can ship without the necessity for immediate corrections to disturbing judgement-failage on the part of the developers.
Don't get me wrong, Paradox produces 60% of my most loved games, I'll just put this down to being like a much loved puppy that makes a bad thing on the carpet. Mistakes happen, in future screen-shots Prussia will be the correct color, and we can all move on, and with no need to speak of it again.
Ok, and I'll say that if you continue to make this a "failage" issue and then turn around in 9 months and start lambasting Paradox over some game play issue then they should answer with, "But we got the country colors right for you. What more do you want?"
But, yes, I'm like you in that I think the colors will be "right" when the game is released, whatever "right" is. I am simply taking issue with folks making this an issue. No matter what colors are chosen, there is going to be someone, somewhere going, "Dang it. Why did they have to make China yellow? That's just not right."
I don't care. Just don't make all the countries green. Or maybe they should. I don't care. Any graphic, color, look-good, make it pretty decisions taken with this game are simply icing on the cake to me. I'm here for the game play. Make it all gray. That's fine. How's that going to affect how artisans affect the game? Where does Japan being red change how the Dutch Letter Decision is made? Will I be able to defeat the USA easier as the CSA if the CSA is butternut rather than gray? Does Britain being pink help the fish shortage conditions on the world market? Does the formation of Italy hinge upon S-P being piss-yellow?
That's what I'm saying.![]()
Edit: The border of Northern Ireland is wrong by the way, though it may be deliberate since it's just an internal boundary within the UK.
It's approximately the border of the full province of Ulster, which includes not only the 6 provinces that remained in the Union after the creation of Eire, but also the 3 (IIRC) historic provinces of Ulster that became part of the Republic after the partition.
Unfortunately the eastern provinces of Ulster that became part of the Republic were too small to make a separate province, and thus had to be joined to a province in Leinster so that the Partition borders would be correct.
All of eastern Ulster is in the UK, the ones that aren't are in southern and western Ulster. It's hard to see, is donegal going to be part of NI by those borders?
The TW series has world maps that blow the Clausewitz engine's maps out of the water, I don't see how the technology isn't there already.
I really, really want to see a well planned out Aegean Sea in this game -- NOT like the regional map in HoI3, which was plain horrible (I even made a thread about it). The Aegean Sea saw many battles and tragedies in the first decades of the 20th century and it deserves proper representation!
I'd very much like to see a screen of AustraliaI wonder if there'll be an increase in the province count there...
