I can't see anything on wiki suggesting it was a traditional colour for the country... although if we're reserving grey for Germany (wise) it's probably the best choice.

And I agree on the whole "Prussian blue" thing... If anything, when I think blue i think France. And why would reserving grey for Germany exclude grey for Prussia? Why would Germany even exist without absorbing Prussia?
Oh, that was the soviet navy flag? I thought it kind of looked like it but decided that it probably wasn't after a quick glance. But I was more interested in some sort of mass gatherings and such (might as well be suffragettes or something else, but something that reflects the birth of mass politics).
EDIT: Now that I looked again I can't believe I missed it. It's even got a small USSR CoA on the front of the ship (bow or whatever?).
I like what they have done to the Eastern Seaboard of the US. Much prettier and better state distribution.
I'll say it again, the map is developing beyond my wildest expectations in terms of how it looks. Really, I knew the base map was solid, but with all the other layers done and merged together to make the whole map experience for the game, simply stunning in look.
I really do hope Paradox returns to the colour scheme used in the original game, at the very least I hope they make Prussia Prussian Blue like it was in the original.
The map is great. I had hoped for a couple of more German minors, but it's not as if the setup in Vicky1 was bad. What really surprises me is that I find myself loving the "event" artwork, even though I'd normally prefer period photography. They really raised the bar there compared to earlier titles.
I think the flasg is supposed to be a "Honorary revolutionary naval flag flown by the workers' and Peasants' Red Army’s ships and task forces", between 1935 and 1950. Not quite fitting for the game´s timeframe. A simple red flag with the hammer and sickle would have been much fore fitting, not to mention the fact that the coat of arms shouldn't be there.
EDIT: And I'd like to repeat my complaint about Siegmaringen, Mecklenburg, Norway and the situation in Slesvig-Holstein.
It's 2 bunches of wheat wrapped in red bands with general soviet slogan written on all soviet republics languages. and a globe with sickle and hammer on it in the middle..

I know it's been mentioned that the colours are easily modded, but one hopes not to have the impression that the developers judgement was ever in need of correction in the first place.
