Can someone please Explain Exactly some omens?

THe Protection omen with +% Defense. Does that apply to Regions being besieged only, as in city defense, or does it apply at any battle that you are BEING attacked, city or whether your armies get attacked?

The main difference, if anyone got some numbers to show the efficiency or superiority of one over the other, when it comes to Morale and Dicipline. Not sur eif anyone got a nice explanation like for Omen Chance and Omen Power but for Dicipline and Morale?.

Thanks.

The defence value affected by the omen refers to the strength of your army units - not a besieged region. IIRC, the better the defence value of an army unit the less damage (casualties) it takes.

And I see, ok. and which one is better Morale or Discipline. It says Discipline is meant to increase efficiency, but the blessing of mars is for morale? is fortuna that increases skill? Confused which one is better.

I can't guarantee that this is 100% true but I think discipline controls the speed of the morale damage your units take and perhaps gives small damage boost too.
Morale, obviously is morale and means how long your army can stay in the battle or how long they will continue to assault a fort.

I'd say if you have low martial ruler take the morale boost because your ruler won't be giving much boost but otherwise I can't give very good advices as I haven't done any research on how the modifiers actually play against eachother.

Then something that I just checked:
There are two types of defensive in the game. Unit defensive which Parzival is referring to (but is actually wrong :p) and province defensive.
In the game files unit defensive is always unit type related so there are militia_defensive, heavy_infantry_defensive and so on.
The province defense which controls how long the province can stay besieged is called global_defensive, and the omen and the national idea gives boost to that. Land technology inventions give boosts to unit defensive.

The 4th modifier is offensive and it controls how much casualties you inflict to the enemy. As an example if you mod your game a bit and give yourself a law or something that does horse_archer_offensive = 1000 every horse archer unit you have will have 100 000% bonus in damage which means you can kick some major ass with only a couple of units :p

I hope this helps and that I didn't write down any utter crap if something actually isn't true..

Morale is about how long your army stays in the fight before they run, discipline is about how much damage they make.
