I would like to recreate the power of an old noble family with descendants from both male and female line.
As a fan of the carolingians i would prefer playing their descendants first, but it isnt easy to find any information. The carolingian male line may have ended at the beginning of the 11th century with the counts of Vermandois and Anjou. A female descendant ended in Aquitaine with lots of dukes there.
To cut a long story short heres an extended family tree of the carolingians: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/245/makhirbloodiw7.png/

Im also very interested in descendants from old roman(1 find so far: Massimo) and byzantine noble families. For the byzantines like the families of justinian and heraclae i havent found anything.

Does anyone have infos regarding those families and other great dynasties including female lines?

Massimo? where are they at?

Anyways, there's the georgian royal house strectching back to the 6th or 7th century.

Some of the irish noble houses goes back to the 200's if i remember correctly :)

EDIT: oh and welcome to the forums :D

Louis the Lower of Lorraine was the last of the Carolingian rulers, and he died in 1015. It's an extinct dynasty at game start. They were essentially deposed by the Capetian dynasty.

However there is one surviving male of the line, Count Odo of Vermandois. I believe he's one of William du Normandie's vassals. When his sister died in 1122, that was the end of the Carolingian bloodline entirely.

thx and great(best) game btw :=).

Yea irish and scotish families seem to be very well documented  , what about the recreation of the pictish kingdom!

Regarding roman noble family Massimo see that: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Massimo
Seems they didnt hold any lands :( , but i continue search them. Leo de Maximis seems to be an important character to search.

in other words, finding a way to link Adelaide and the Capetian kings is a good excuse for role-playing a claim to "legitimacy" :D
thanks for the heads up
