I have noticed something about pretty much every British-French war. It consists of three phases:
1. The British send out all their transports unescorted in a valiant attack on the French navy. They get destroyed.
2. The French destroy some British frigates, before the latter deploy their navy.
3. The British don't have any transports anymore, and so the war ends in a stalemate, and an eventual return to status quo...

I just wanted to know, is it possible to amend that in an AI file? [Sorry for that stupid question, probably :eek:o ]

i'm aware of that problem...it's a simple problem with ai logic. AI always gives some escorts to convoys that move more than 1 sea-zones...but dosn't give protection to ships that exit the ports...and that's where the problem lies.

Oh, and i must apologize for somewhat slow responses...or lack o activity. I lately joined estonian defence league(kaitseliit) and have to study for weapons and medical, plus need to parctice my shooting skills(still non-existant, but i'm a fast learner - atleast i hope so ;) ), plus i have some busy times in school...so i hope you'l understand.

heh..thought i was dead didn't ye...well i'm just in progress of finalizing ai files for some big shraks such as - Russia, England, France, Spain, Prussia and Austria.

Files will be sent to VIP, but aswell to all who were willing to help me with AI testing - Your going to have some work now! ;)

-The bavarians are really difficult to fight, why? because they have researched a lot of army techs, however, they have a high income... looking at the save game, they have build a steel factory and currently have 30.000 cash with all their territory full of railroads. I have made a new AI for Bavaria now, because as you can see, they invest too much in naval techs... :wacko:
-The austrians are developing really good, but they have too many revolts to solve...
-Prussia is me, so no comments... :D
-Sicily tries to develop every path of the tech tree... balanced.
-Denmark and Sweden, both have the same problem, they are a walkover... i have completely destroyed Denmark and i could do the same with Sweden if i wanted to. They research too many industrial techs and almost ignore the rest. Although I was busy "disturbing" some asian & african powers ( :D ) while i was fighting Denmark and Sweden togheter in the Slesvig war, with just a bunch of units it was enough to crush them both.
-France is overagressive, they have conquered 3 nations and are going for more... they currently have 35 divisions in the mobilization pool ... and growing...
-England is ok. :)
-Haven't noticed anything weird with Holland.
-Spain rushes for the industrial techs ignoring the rest, they are completely a walkover too...
-Turkey is too eager to research industrial techs... but i think they need the army techs too much to ignore them, they should have a bit more of priority there... too many wars to fight for them... they should be prepared for that... Currently RUS and FRA are about to destroy them... :(

These are just a couple of suggestions for improvement... :D

Judging that the S.A. start with Western Backward Tech Pack, i can say that they are doing very well. ;)

This is POR_36, in 1860 it changes to POR_1860 to colonize Africa and later (still undecided opn date), it will change to Industrializer.

Also I've done Switerzland. And I am working on Japan.

Spain and Portugal didn't worked together in that time.

And I do think that you make too much emphasis in the Commerce/Industrial side, leaving the AI with a bad Army/Navy.

But, lay out what you have inside your sleeve, and we can discuss the changes.
