Cool-toxic, I have begun to enter the Indian provinces names in the province.csv you uploaded, starting at 1252.
Is it normal that some IDs seem to be unassigned (1260, 1261, 1296, 1297 for instance)? Should I name them "FREE" like you did for other provinces (like 1210, 1206)?

Also, where the hell did you find some reliable information about the Slavic tribes shown in the last map you posted? I am searching about their positions in 888 but can't seem to find anything. Thanks.

Those are all on the map. ;) Look at the islands near Sumatra and some around Japan. It is because I made the map and then some of the Indian provinces were merged on later maps. ;)

I used a mix of maps and the detail about the tribes on Wikipedia. Which cities and such they controlled.

Thank you very much. :) About Derbent, the ID is 1224. The other one is Khurasan. ;) And 1168 is some islands near Japan. But I will send you a merger of the two province.csv's which will be the newest.
About the spellings of some provinces it will be like this in order to find them on the map. I know some letters have been made to standard latin letters, but this is for the ease of finding them through the search feature in the game.

it's a little offtopic, but I am currently downloading the game from Gamersgate, so soon I will be able to be kinda more helpfull.. or at least play the mod :)

Ok, I found these ones, but I have some more questions:

I couldn't find 1517, is that one really unassigned or am I just blind?

There are two 1019 on the map and 1017 is missing, I assumed that 1017 was the japanese 1019 like it said in province.csv.

1168, "Sakishima", is already used is province.csv as "Bishbaliq", was that province merged at some point and should it now be renamed, or is that a mistake on the map?

Province 1020 is called "Taiwan" in province.csv while it appears as "Liu-ch'iu" on the map, should that be corrected?


I still have to do the provinces tagged as chinese, mongol and korean. :)

1517 is not on the map.

1019 is the Korean island Cheju. Saikai is 1017 and Hyuga is 1018. ;)

1168 is now Sakishima. Before we had two provinces bordering each other called Bishbaliq and Beshbalik or something like that, now they are merged.

Taiwan should be named Liu-ch'iu as on the map. :)

Will update the ID map. And good to hear that you are quite far. ;)

About 1017, 1018, 1019. After implementing my modified province.csv into the game, it turns out the correct numbering goes like this:

1017: Saikai
1018: Hyuga
1019: Cheju

This way it will be like this:

Naval Manufactures gives bonus if in Timber or Fish province.
Weapon Manufactures gives bonus if in Iron or Copper province.
Goods Manufactures gives bonus if in Cotton, Cloth or Silk province.
Breweries gives bonus if in Wine or Tea/Coffee province. (This is not perfect, but I don't know what else could be made.. Maybe Spices and Salt which will then turn breweries into some Granary ?

If you got some good ideas for the placing of the goods please do contribute. :)

Because proper beer making (with hops) is actually something invented after the period of the game, let's move honey/wax to sugar. During the game period, beer was never made on a large scale for export, but mead was.

Also, Coffee was only discovered in the 9th century as a stimulant, and the brewing of Coffee was outside the game period.

Rename Manufactory to Weaving Guild (Carpets, Linen, Wool, etc), so Flax, Cotton / Silk or Wool provinces have extra benefits from having Weavers. Brewery renamed to Casking Guild (Mead, Olive Oil and Wine)

Fine Arts Manufactory should be a Place of Worship, and naval good manufactory should be Shipwrights Guild

Exotic goods should cover strange and rare items only from some parts of the world, such as polar bear hides, coral, ebony, ivory, exotic animals like giraffes and ostriches, narwhal horns, elephant ivory etc.
