I know, this problem was mentioned before very often but:
I´m new in patch 1.06 c (I had 1.03c so far), so I got new problems to solve. First I found out, that if I annex nations I don`t get the full amount of ressources but max 50% of the origin (this was new for me but it is historically understandable). Then some people in this forum told me, I have to puppet nations to get the complete surplus of their ressources (that should be even more than if I would annex this nation). So I tried this out:
I invaded sweden in 36 and puppet it. Now it`s 38 and I neither do not see any effect on my steel production nor see any stockpile of steel to pick up in sweden. But my steel consuption is steadily rising (because of my fit-up program for germanys ic`s)

What do I wrong? How to take part of the huge steel production in Sweden? Or is it nevertheless better to annex nations to get at least a part of its ressources? Thank you for a fast answer, so I could change my way of warfare!??

There should be a pile of steel in Stockholm visible to you. If not, have you tried running a convoy from Stockholm or any of the other coastal provinces?
Also I find it not necessary to puppet or annex Sweden for their steel until I've finished the Soviets and the Brits. Just put in enough steel to cover your needs and then some on a 1:1 basis. It will fluctuate at times but the anschluss and the partitioning of Chzechoslowakija (Go for option B in the march '39 events) wil net you enough resources to last. Usually my steel supply as Germany will hover around 30000 in the first two years but with these two events I'm always at 90k+ before the war starts.
If you keep Luxemburg around until you're running short you can demand their territory (30 to 40k in coal and steel) to fill up on their resources.
Upgrading IC for Germany is not worth it IMO because you need all those IC's to take a lead on your opponents and there aren't a lot of provinces that can be economically upgraded.

Puppets only send you their excess-ressources if you have a land-connaction with them ... stupid, but there ya go ... you can't have a stockpile in a province that is controlled by the A.I. (friendly or otherwise) ... the only way around this is to annex & convoy ...

Puppetting gives you all the puppet's surplus ressources. AFAIK they substract 100 of each resource before giving you the rest. This allows them to sustain a max. of 50 ICs

**** WHAT"S WRONG WITH THE SERVER LATELY ? ****

Sgt. Bulldog!

thank you for your great help! But the problem is: If I kill everybody arround ind 36/37 why should I need further ressources? Than I would be the master of the universe! (except USA, but this would be in such a theatre just a question of time). I am very glad, that I do not play against you in a human/human game, :D !!
