I'd like to take on Bulgaria, because i'm a hardline nationalist. i intend to spam this place with propaganda and make a mess of my neighbours, who are all Bulgarians in denial :D

no really, i'd like to play :) i have some limited experience in Eutopia before the refurbishment, and no other RPG experience. I talked to Flame of Udun about this one and I think i could enjoy it :)

Bulgaria is a vassal of Venice and would need to be roleplayed as such. This means Venice gains half of Bulgaria’s econ points, automatically gains right-of-passage through Bulgaria and can expect all forms of homage from Bulgaria, militarily and diplomatically, from a roleplay point of view.

I suggest that you pick another role if you would find this a tough pill to swallow. We do allow the players of vassals to sever vassalage ties, but at the cost of immense penalties. That road is not one for a new player to go down.

With that in mind, do you still want to pick Bulgaria?

No, I'm not resigning again. Relax ;)

I know the mods work in mysterious ways, but I was just wondering...

I noticed the Inscriptions page was purged so I went to check it out, but Fireblade (who was readmitted to the game last month as Scotland) is still listed as permanantly banned from the game.

Is this just an oversight, or just yet another example of how the mods work in mysterious ways? ;)

yes, i'm aware and i read all the rules and relevant statistics (couldnt find a treaty or something that depicts the creation of bulgaria though)
i'd still like to try my hands at it :) i'm not just going to sever the ties ignoring all common sense. i'll play along as its vassal. my decisions would depend entirely on venice's way of treating its vassals. i dont think venice would want to lose it's vassal by severing or by conquering due to some rival of venice's. a bit of thinking and planning should be enough methinks ;)

Great. I'd just ensure that you knew the situation before you entered.

Please once again visit the National Statistics thread and make a post informing our resident Nat Stats man cccino what your new realm is and what name you have chosen for it's head of state. Now you're ready to post your stupendous court thread!

Please choose between your new role in the Medieval RPG and any role you may have in other RPG games on these baords and adopt that role’s avatar. Either way, please include a mention of your new role in the Medieval RPG in your signature.

We ask that you do not use instant messaging programs like MSN, ICQ and AIM to discuss deals and alliances for the purposes of the game. Doing so generally leads to animosity, mistrust and a lowering of role-playing standards. Unless an RPG Steward is trying to contact you in order to help you understand the game better, it would be better for all concerned if you politely avoid talking about your role in the RPG with other, active players. The forum’s message-posting and private messaging (PM) systems should be all you’ll ever need to play the game.

Friedrich II Thanks for pointing out. I'll correct it immdeiatly.

I will have to leave the game for a while due to my upcoming marriage. :) It has been a lot of fun to play these past months and I hope to return and see my friends again soon.

Well, at least NK will be a truly happy man for a few weeks. :D

I resign from Scotland, for several weeks.. at least until December.. 7th or so. Finals and all that coming up, and we all know how professors just love to assign every damned thing they can think of in the last two weeks of class.

Addendum to A King's Ransom Event

This is in response to the confusion surrounding the event, which was triggered on 16-11-2004.

The result was not the wholesale move of all Andalusian Muslims to Egypt.

The number of refugees successfully picked up from the Iberian Penninsular is between 100,000 and 250,000.

A considerable number of Andalusian Muslims remain on the Iberian Penninsular. You may determine the remaining number by subtracting the given numbers above from the historical number of Andalusian Muslims living on the Iberian Penninsular during the period.

The success of the transport of the exodus does not guarantee its continued survival in Egypt. It is expected that the fate of the refugees is skillfully and realistically roleplayed and accounted for, or it may be used as the basis of a trigger in which the refugees and their Egyptian hosts may suffer.

The above addendum is entirely subject to the judgement of the game's Chief Moderator, BzAli.

Well, over the past couple months, it has become increasingly apparent, for a variety of reasons, that I have run my course in the game and it's time to move on. I've tried to fight it for a while, but it's clearly time.

So, I hereby submit my resignation as Moldavia.

I apologize to JG and MengHuo especially, but also the DTS members and anyone else I've left in a lurch. I'm sure that 3c can pick up the DTS nicely though.

It's been fun guys, see you around.

I was just seeing a very active Balkan peninsula :( now I have a grand total of 1(one) PC neighbour, and we're both vassals to Venice... this will be mucho interesting ... :(

vLN, while I share your opinion, I kindly ask you not to share it with us in this thread.

The statement above is neither Inscription nor General Question, and thus counts as spam in this thread. The correct place for such posts would be the Lounge.

BzAli,

I've tried to avoid doing things like this but I just really don't feel like Denmark is for me. I'm sort of clinging to the Ottoman Empire still, and now that I've finished my awful string of projects in school I feel like I can be active If I'm given another chance at it. I realize that this is a very hectic procedure for the moderator staff, but I would like you to grant my request and allow me to return to the Ottomans if it is at all possible.

Lords of RPG!

I, Iapov, wish to join RPG as the land of my ancestor, Moldavia!

Please approve me. I will not dissapointe!

Welcome, Iapov.
Moldavia has a very rich history in this game, and is the right size for newcomers.
It is yours. I recommend you take a look at the previous players court, so you know what has gone before you.

Would the crown of lithuania be vacant? Can I take it? If not, Bosnia looks good. :p
Hi Halberd. Inscriptions go in this thread, hence the name. :)
Lithuania is to big for newcomers, but Bosnia is certainly the right size. So, Bosnia it is.

Bz, looking at the current state of the empire I think that I might be slightly more useful to the game as an elector. Would it be possilbe for me to switch realms from Hessen to Saxony?

Best Regards... :)
