Old Gods Problem on Steam too

Hi folks,

seems as if the problems some guys had with Gamersgate, happen on Steam as well. Just got home and bought the DLC itself. Ill wait for the rest, until its on sale. My steam updated everything, so I was able to start the game. At first I was surprised, that there was no "Old Gods" in my list of DLCs. But nevertheless I decided to give it a try and started the game. You can imagine, how suprised I was to see that obviously the game got the impression, that I am not owning ToG...


Funny thing is now, that Steam itself shows me, that I bought it from their shop. I already checked my mails and I got a mail from Paypal, that my money was sent as well. Soooo...

Whats wrong?! Any Ideas? Solutions?!

I think, I have a clue whats broken... The Dlc wasnt downloaded. I have 6 Dlcs added to the "simple" CK2, as you can see above. But if I now have a look at my DLC folder, there are just 5 DLCs... I guess its not hard to imagine, that ToG is missing...

EDIT: Yep, it hasn't downloaded, one DLC is missing in the folder. Neither verifying the games cache nor restarting Steam managed to start the download either, so it's propably Steam screwing things up again.

Yes. I wiped my PC from everything related to CK2 and installed a new and fresh version. (Not hard to do with just 1 GB Game^^). But still no new ToG...

Hence the diagnosis of "Steam screwing things up again". They got a product up for sale, not marketed as a pre-order, and yet the customers who bought it cannot access it. Sounds like either a) a screw up or b) false advertising to me. Especially since they put it up for sale on their own before the realease time Paradox announced.

I had the same problem 30 minutes ago. But then I went away from my computer and when I came back I noticed that Steam had downloaded Old Gods.

No, you're going to have to wait for Steam to update the store. That should cause the DLC to download.

It works now. I was playing Killing Floor and when I stopped Steam had downloaded the DLC.
