Old gods not active+ (steam)

My install of CK2 refuses to allow me an earlier start date and the Old gods DLC isn't marked as active on the screen, which also has an old patch (1.9). I have the old gods downloaded according to the steam client but cannnot seem to get it running?

I have tried to uninstall CK2, deletet all folders left behind and then reinstalling through steam but it didn't seem to work.

As well as r-estarting steam, rebooting and now I'm at my wits end.
How do I force the game to update to the correct patch so that I can raid the coasts of normandy as my forefathers?

Delete dlc_signature file in My Documents -> Paradox Interactive -> Crusader Kings II and relaunch the game.

You have opted into the old beta. In Steam go to the ck2 beta tab and opt out of all betas. Then do a verify.

In-game store is only for the Gamersgate version, what AndrewT suggested should bring him to 1.103 WQLL.
