Ok A little worried now

I have the required Video Card and it does support PS 2.0 and the demo is not working. I pre ordered, is the same exact problem going to come with the ordered game? I am sure I am not the only one hoping this is not the case.

Yes, you will need to buy a new video card if your current one doesn't support PS 2.0. In my view, it's worth it.

I did all that and it isnt working, I have a Raedon X300 that has 128 and is compatable with Pixel shader 2.0 I confirmed all of this. Are you telling me I am out of luck? Because this "little" problem should have probably been worked out before system specs were given out.

IMO the release version of the game should work on your system. If for any reason it doesn't, the 1.1 patch (ETA probably Jan 23rd or 24th) will almost certainly resolve the problem. If for some bizarre reason that doesn't do it, I am quite confident that Paradox will bend over backwards to figure out why and fix it rapidly.

Download the latest driver from Ati : http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html
and the latest DirectX:
http://download.microsoft.com/downl...-aacb-dc4c5d230a9a/directx_dec2006_redist.exe

Install DirectX first, uninstall the current (old) Ati driver, and install the fresh one you've just downloaded.
It should work now.

See how cute these guy are. They made a patch just for you and even if that fails, they'll still try to help.

edit:

Im using a radeon 9200 mobility x300. the demo works on my labtop. Try getting the newest drivers (make sure to use drivecleaner). Other than that I wouldnt know. Have you got the latest Dx? Try reinstalling it?
