Oirats shouldn’t form Yuan, instead, they should form an alternate history dynasty.

In the last few expansions, EU4 seems to be expanding on alternate history a lot more, along with improving mechanics to simulate our history. I really like these new features, and one of my favorites was the alternate Tumu Crisis event chain added in Manchu. Going along with this alternate history, I don’t like how the Oirats just form Yuan in this game, as if they were Mongolia and took over China again. Instead, I propose a new dynasty name for the Oirats, who well could have taken over China in OTL if the Khans after Esen were competent.

This new dynasty would be called the Feng Dynasty. Feng (风) means wind, and what better name for a dynasty originating from the windswept Steppe than that? For a flag, it could be in line with Ming and the Chinese minors with just having the 风 character artfully painted. National ideas should revolve around the notion that the Oirats , instead of being successors to Genghis Khan, seek to outdo him and keep their dynasty lasting for much longer, so ideas that decrease national unrest, as well as events and decisions which accept all Chinese cultures would be great.

This is more of a flavor suggestion than anything, it just bothers me how the Oirats restore the Yuan currently, when IRL they could have well taken over China and created a brand new dynasty.

風 sounds strange as a country name.

The problem here is that when Esen became Khaghan he wasn't a Khaghan of Oirats, but a Khaghan of Mongols. He didn't try to destroy the legacy of Mongol Empire and Genghis, but break the Genghisid monopoly on power.

In fact for Chinese he titled himself 大元田盛大可汗 The Holy Khaghan of the Great Yuan, so he certainly tried to link himself to Genghis.

Instead, I propose a new dynasty name for the Oirats, who well could have taken over China in OTL if the Khans after Esen were competent.
Except that after Esen's death the title of Khaghan returned into the hands of Dayan Khan, a Genghisid who also claimed to be a ruler of Great Yuan (大元大可汗) .

Feng is too strange for CHinese, for example me....
If need a fantasy name, Dai大 can be used like what Mongolia did to traslate its "Yeke" when Mongol first appears in Chinese world.
