Probably one of the side effects of the local autonomy system: I bet lots of Muscovy's provinces are at 75+ autonomy -> meaning they're cheap in warscore. In my Bahamis game, I was able to vassal Vijayanagar outright because they lost a long war (no manpower, high WE, unrest everywhere) to Orissa + Malwa.
Could be it, I'll definitely check their LA later.

I love these kind of pictures with random nations growing large :) Also Finland seems to have taken 2-3 provinces from Sweden, I think that is the first time I ever seen them do anything
Yeah that's my vassal :p

Oirats do it in every 1.8 game i had. They even vassalized all of the Ming they didn't capture yet and nearly killed off the Timurids who were reformed and were the foremost power in the area. If Oirats will be able to reform, we yet may be able to see an unstoppably huge empire in the AI's hands!

Oriat get a great leader at start which they likely used to get that powerful.
Tasty low WS Ming provinces not something a hungry hord would say no to.

I think the point that can be drawn here is not "Oirat OP plz nerf" but "Muscovy really needs some sort of buff, because both AI and player Poland trash it with embarrassing consistency and the only way it can ever become a world power is with ridiculous, ahistorical blobbing into Asia"

not really.

I've seen a 2pm Muscovy come back and beat down everyone around them then form Russia.

I found out how strong they are playing as Yeren (manchu). It doesn't help that almost all there lands are desert and hordes love there deserts.

Another problem is manchu just blows. I diplo annexed my last two vassals to form manch and I went from an 18 force limit to a 12. I gained land, yet I didn't go above 12? Not to mention the fact that I couldn't even afford to keep an army above 12. So much for the horde force limit bonus.

Well in Eu3 I succeded in reviving the mongol khanat to an even greater size then it had ever been dominating Europe and Asia completely in like less then 100 years from start.
In Eu4 I think doing such massive conquest in such short time is much harder because of rebels and overextension.
