Playing HOI 106c+CORFE085 as US in 1946 Germany almost taken by the allies and Soviets my MOTs MECs and Tanks frequently show red oil drops for lack of fuel (?) and I wonder WHY so.
Oil production 1294 daily
conversion to rubber 697 daily
remain 597 daily
convois ship 597 daily to Lorient, Amsterdam and so on.
Armies consume 132 daily.
Coal is converted at a rate of .9 .
Ships are in harbors.
Airplanes dont fly.
How can a mec not in fight and not moving suffer lack of fuel??????
Thanks you gurus

Have you checked that your convoys are transporting oil? Maybe you only chose supplies when your created the convoys?

Yes... you need a convoy into the occupied areas of Germany itself (if possible) and any allied territories you are in should have convoy plus military access.

You need one convoy to each separate area that you control. If your allies control some territory and you have troops there, that's a separate area. And you use only one convoy for each area.

The general rule for convoy problems is to cancel all convoys to that area. Then look at the places below your capital and find the supply depot province for that area. Then make up one massive convoy with hundreds of convoy ships. In your case 500+ You can always reduce the size later.

If you ship oil to an ally because your troops are on his soil, then your ally decides what to do with the resource, not you. Since oil can be converted to rubber for industrial usage, you have to either also send them rubber or send them lots more oil. Use the political map to make sure that you know who controls what provinces. You might need separate convoys to Netherlands, Belgium, and allied France plus a convoy to any territory that you directly control.

Motor/mech/pz consume oil during the day. They consume even more oil when moving and fighting. You can debate that or argue about it, but that ain't gonna' change. Just accept it and learn to deal with it.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH
NOW I have troops in Spain fighting against the Germans there, I have troops in fRance and in Germany. All the ports have a FRENCH FLAg and Amsterdam has a DUTCH Flag . I ship oil to Bilbao, to Amsterdam,, to Llorient. And my motorized forces lack fuel supply. What are the areas and how could i previously have avoided that everything belongs to the freed French???
Thanks Karl

I think at this point, you are giving your resources to your allies. I could be wrong though.

And, as far as I remember, you cant keep French possessions. They automatically take over whatever province you take from the Germans. Something about the Liberation and the like.

You have to plan where you will land in Europe. If you land in an ally's territory and expand from there, all that you conquer goes to that ally since they own the territory that you liberate. If you move from an ally's territory into German owned territory, than your ally gets that territory, not you.

If you want to grab territory for yourself, land on enemy owned soil in Germany or Italy. If Denmark has been annexed you could choose among Danish provinces or land in Hamburg. The key is to first look at who owns the territory, not who controls it. If you pause over the standard default map you are told who owns and who controls the territory.

Generally the best strategy when fighting around a territory owned by your ally is to first try to figure out a way to grab territory for yourself. Then after getting a good base and spreading out to grab territory for yourself, go back and liberate the territory for your ally.
