So I send my chancellor to forge a claim for a county in the Duchy of Normandy. After some time, I get lucky and have a choice to use his "proof" of my claim on the entire Duchy. I go to war with the English and it's a piece of cake, since they have an infant king and battles raging all over the place.
However, before I went into war with England, I also had a choice to push a claim of some unimportant courtier of mine for the same Duchy. Didn't do it, as I wanted it all for myself. BUT, when I won (when the King of England proposed a surrender), I was automatically thrown into another war.
So, my new enemy is the previous owner of the Duchy of Normandy, now a count. The objective of this automatic war? Pushing a claim for the Duchy for that silly girl I mentioned above. Obviously I didn't want to give her something that's now mine, so I proposed a white peace. And guess what were the terms? I lose some prestige and imprison that count guy and the girl. Ain't law a curious science?
