Why is that? It is just a wider response to the disappointment many feels with the quality of Armageddon, an obviously very badly planned and sloppy release. Paradox could help out and bring it back on track by issuing the official statement asked for in the thread title.

Posters having a polite discussion about PI latest release and its associated problems...doesnt seem that pointless to me.

Threads that have hundreds of rather 'pointless' posts that sing the praises of paradox dont often get labelled as pointless, I dont see why a thread that has crticisms should be considered as such.

i've opened this thread because i wanted to know what's going on concerning the bugged main feature of armageddon (before this thread, many people didn't noticed this bug, or took it serious). i reported this in the forums before, like some others did. i reported it the official way, per mail. even, after 3 weeks and over 120 post's and over 4000 view's, there is no official statement that they are aware of this problem. only some user citing pm's they got from official site.

so paradox has a thread, were the bugs are described, they should use the information they got here to fix it. the obvious lack of testing (if there was any) has been compensated by the community. now it's there part.

like danielos said, all i wanted (and what many others like to know too) is an official word. ok, i guess, if they say they are aware of it, than there will be some 1000 threads about the release date. that will be pointless, but even than it would only be the reaction to a thing paradox did wrong. it's not our mistake that we trusted the advertisement of paradox. hey, they broke mechanics that were working in former versions!!!!! if there would be something official, this thread would be dead by long.

if the new naval attachments where bugged, it would be crap, but i could wait for a patch, simply deactivating them and play the game i bought.
but now, cag's that where working before, and are a (THE) main factor of any naval combat after 1941 are completly non functional. that's why this thread is full of anger and "flaming".

@lothos: please don't take it personaly, i don't want to offend you. i respect the work you've done and hopefully you will do on hoi. but in this case, your simply wrong

Every company screws up sometimes, but almost all this dissent would vanish if Paradox simply admitted they had screwed up. No one would be complaining if they gave a release date for the patch.

Even again, they would probably end up behind schedule and end up releasing the patch half finished and broken, making the game worse than before.

Well, obviously there would still be complaints, but if Paradox just admitted Armageddon was unplayable and told people they were working on it, it would satisfy most people.

I would be so happy if the did that! =)

Aye - they'd redirect their complaints to something like EU3 or something... :p

that would be great and the most hoi fans won't be so angry if there would be a date for the hotfix what makes ARM playable.

Nothing is hotter than repairing the cag bug.

I have no big problem with Armageddon not working. I can still play doomsday.
So I don't really care if I have to wait a few weeks for a patch that will make it playable.
I also understand that this $5.- product has a very low priority at Paradox. If the guy working on this is sick, on vacation or has more important work to do; I can accept that.
I am only disappointed by the lack of response from Paradox. At least some comment would be appreciated.

5 euro is much cheaper than Doomsday, but you get a lot less too, so I don´t think the price is a valid reason for this sloppiness. Whatever the price, you expect products you buy to be fully functional and worth your money.

Armageddon ist the newest HOI. It had make Doomsday obsolate. That's the problem. The following patches are for ARM not for DD.
Why should I start a new game in DD. In a few weeks ARM will be playable cuase thre's onlx one little thing to be patched: the cag bug.
And why should I start a new game with DD wich I cannot finish because in a few weeks the next HOI patch makes ARM playable.

Another thing: buying units form your alliance is also destroyed cause the boght units cannot be upgraded. But this isn't game braking like the cag bug.

Well, it breaks that feature of the game, since there is almost no point in buying units that will be obsolete in a year or two.

Strat Redeploying and having patience (and annexing?) seems to help against this bug. Sometimes, suddenly, they started to upgrade in my game.
