DAIM fixes the nat. china leader bug. I'm not sure why paradox hasn't bothered to incorperate their idea, all it does is add another couple events to the surrender chain.

I don't like it either, but to say that it's completely unplayable is an exaggeration. I've had a really interesting game playing as Canada with Armageddon. I've seen a lot worse bugs in a game than this. I don't understand why it would be unplayable :wacko:

Nah, I think you've just been lucky - you haven't seen a carrier with a range of 1,233,465,345,324,244,654+ km show up in your game. I have. ;)

What's odd is that there seems to be few patterns in when and why odd ranges like that show up... they do for some, and don't for others.

LOL no I haven't seen that :p but then I've only build BB,CA,CL and DD so far. My Carriers are being built now so maybe they will have that bug :( the AI has unlimited range already so I guess it doesn't matter to them.

I meant combat range, not how far it can travel. Which means that their carriers can hit you from an entire galaxy away. You'll never get into firing range. ;) Or, alternatively, your ship will have this... talent, and your single Light Cruiser (as it happened for another poster) will be able to single-handedly sink every navy in the world. And a few worlds over, for that matter. Hell, a few galaxies over...

for me this bug happened everytime in connection with an attachment upgrade. as long as the attachments are the original level they were build, everything is ok. but after upgrading, the range/attack... values are higher than they should.
but i have no interest in spending more time for testing hardcoded "features" as long the people who are able (at least i hope so) to fix it, are not interested in someone's observations and give no reply at all. i don't need them, they don't need me, but maybe they will need some customers in the future.

I personally think there should be more effort to incorporate some of the events and extras that have been developed by the community. It is almost like they are starting from scratch with every release, with no thought to taking advantage of work that has already been done.

What makes HOI2 great is the '36 scenario - specifically all the events. A and Abyss as they are now are completely useless other than a one quick game to realize the AI is completely useless - the same with the '45 doomsday - they are just one dimensional, mostly eventless scenarios. They are fun to play - once... maybe more if I want to switch around the countries - but that is it. The '36 scenario? I have played most med/major countries and have had a hoot every time.

For HOI3, they should build on HOI2 - not start from scratch... my 2 cents...
