Paradox will fix the naval issues caused by ARM, no doubt. The hot fix was not a real patch. Have a little patience and the patch will come. It's just that Paradox is not very communicative. Patches arrive without much prior notice. But arrive they do, that is the most important.
I hope while they are at it, some more bugs will be fixed. I must admit I was somewhat dissappointed with ARM. I don't regret paying the 5 bucks. Hoi gives me a lot of good times, so what is 5 bucks? But I had hoped that a lot more bugs would have been fixed. But maybe, the next patch will be more extensive.
Also, I hope they will change the way they test their software. Maybe by a public beta or something. I'm sure bugs will be found MUCH quicker this way.
So patience
So patience. Ok, your right, it doesn't matter for me if some bugs are fixed today or tomorrow. but this thing is not about this small bugs they had in every version they released. it's about paying 5 euro for unplayability.
when i think over the history of the hoi-games, most bug's (at least not hardcoded) were corrected by the community. the whole game would be dead when there wouldn't be this great mods and community attachments. and this work was done by people that don't get paid for this.
and i think, letting this community pay for something completly non functional (ok, some features work, but the main feature is definetly gamebreaking), and not giving an official statement, is really.....can not find any matching words
when i remember this non fuctional 1.3 patch, then look at the 1.3a patch. come on, compare the changelog with something that was done by the community between 1.2 and 1.3,and with the list of bugs that is still known. this has no longer something to do with customer support.the editor is still broken, where is the at least half historical naval combat? even if the naval attachments work, where is the radical change in air-naval combat?? didn't see any besides some change in sub detection/attack values of capital ships. carries thinking subs ab 200km's distance??? never done something about this, but in the paradox-world, cag's had sonar buoy's and self seeking under water torpedoes??? they are simply not able or willing to fix existing bug's and flaw's. instead of this they sell non working software.
if paradox will change some events, which was done by the community long time before, but not working on hardcoded features, how should someone describe this: ignorance??? i remember times in hoi-1, where there were discussions about mechanics and so on in the forums, and imaging, paradox tried to work on this, and some features made it in patches. but now, it seems like getting most money for less work.
and in this case, a patch will arrive when it's ready, is definetly not enough for me. the 5 euro don't hurt me, i'm also not tight-fisted, but even if i took this money into the next bar, the result would be better.
to the fanboy's out there. wake up. paradox is a software developer like any other on the market. other companies are patching there games too (but in some cases it's even not necessary because there products are working). paradox takes the same money for a full price game. the last games had more or less the same game engine. so i think the giving paradox a credit because they developed good games in the past is no longer necessary. and paying for something non working in the hope that the next version will be better? in this case, you should buy some stocks.
