here the question:

anybody here has a serious sign that paradox is aware of that armageddon is completly non-playable due to the bugged naval brigades even after the hotfix.
is there any official word about this??? send the official bug report, no response, in forums no response, so anybody knows something???

to the fan boys out there: super-carriers (model II) with attack values compareable with 1945 bb's are definetly a gamebreaker.

Well I've just stuck with the latest version of Doomsday until things are fixed. Even without Armageddon this is one excellent game and i'm sure the paradox guys will fix things in time, they've never let us down yet.

but the main feature for most (at least many) of us, the cause why we bought this booster pack are the naval attachments. and this things not working after the hotfix, even ruining the hole game by making allready existing attachments work not properly (cag's were in the game some time before), it's like a hit in the face for most customers.
it's nothing about "they never let us down....". it's the point that i want something too work i paid for.
i never expected that those naval attachments will have historical or even sense making values. that's something i can do on my own and i never expected from paradox. but i expect at least an official word, even if they tell us that they are not able to fix it because of there inability (i'm really fed up with this guy's, but even the hotfix not working and making allready working things a game breaker, what should i say). it's simply piece of impudance i've never seen before.

I consider the tradition of releasing buggy, non-functioning software as a possible let down for mortal gamers.

Just stick to land campaigns then you don't need to worry about naval units at all;)

yes, like advertised.

New attachments for Naval units; do you scrap or upgrade those old ships

in this case: scrap

An Air Naval combat system that radically alters the combat balance

it's really an radical chance.

so i paid for some non working features i wanted, and as a bonus i'm not able to use some features i used before.
but to my luck, i have a real live.and i have work. i'm a little bit affraid of paradox employees, because i don't know the chances for unemploid incapable programmers on the free market.

If, on the other hand, you lifetime is not finite then you simply have to summon some patience and perhaps actually consider exposing oneself to the elements.

Well it's a sad day for Paradox!

They sell a product to it's customers and the product is pretty much worthless. God you gotta love them for this lol. But then again it's only $5 to get the ARM version, I guess thats why maybe they did such a excellent job on getting it out to the HOI freaks!

I my self have read and been told all the different issues everyone has been having and not having. I'd say stick with HOI2DD it's much safer to play and you don't have a useless navy in it as much as you have in ARM ;)

Those of you that did buy the ARM version god bless ya!

Yes the booster should have been tested and tweaked to death until no bugs remained. But would you rather they did not work on it or release it at all? The booster at least gives me hope for the future, as HOI has surpassed EU in popularity and fanaticism. Soon we will all be pleasantly surprised when HOI is continued with the latest and greatest 3rd (is a charm) installment that has not a bug to be swatted. I will guarantee the next sequel; my punishment for being incorrect-- permanent IP address banning of forum membership.

Amen. I always hope that a Paradox release is going to work (because I love their games) but then have to put it on the backburner and wait for a patch or two. Thank god Command & Conquer 3 is keeping me busy.

Unfortunately I'm already done with that game... GDI campaign too easy, Nod campaign too frustrating, and Scrin campaign too short. :(

Nothing to do in the mean time...

... Maybe studying for finals would be a good idea... :p

Anywho, to the OP, yeah, the whole naval situation is a complete and total mess. Might want to hold off on that new UK or Japan game for a while... there's all manner of oddness floating about, such as Light Cruisers with range enough to hit the next galaxy over...

Paradox will fix the naval issues caused by ARM, no doubt. The hot fix was not a real patch. Have a little patience and the patch will come. It's just that Paradox is not very communicative. Patches arrive without much prior notice. But arrive they do, that is the most important.

I hope while they are at it, some more bugs will be fixed. I must admit I was somewhat dissappointed with ARM. I don't regret paying the 5 bucks. Hoi gives me a lot of good times, so what is 5 bucks? But I had hoped that a lot more bugs would have been fixed. But maybe, the next patch will be more extensive.

Also, I hope they will change the way they test their software. Maybe by a public beta or something. I'm sure bugs will be found MUCH quicker this way.

So patience :)

So patience. Ok, your right, it doesn't matter for me if some bugs are fixed today or tomorrow. but this thing is not about this small bugs they had in every version they released. it's about paying 5 euro for unplayability.
when i think over the history of the hoi-games, most bug's (at least not hardcoded) were corrected by the community. the whole game would be dead when there wouldn't be this great mods and community attachments. and this work was done by people that don't get paid for this.
and i think, letting this community pay for something completly non functional (ok, some features work, but the main feature is definetly gamebreaking), and not giving an official statement, is really.....can not find any matching words

when i remember this non fuctional 1.3 patch, then look at the 1.3a patch. come on, compare the changelog with something that was done by the community between 1.2 and 1.3,and with the list of bugs that is still known. this has no longer something to do with customer support.the editor is still broken, where is the at least half historical naval combat? even if the naval attachments work, where is the radical change in air-naval combat?? didn't see any besides some change in sub detection/attack values of capital ships. carries thinking subs ab 200km's distance??? never done something about this, but in the paradox-world, cag's had sonar buoy's and self seeking under water torpedoes??? they are simply not able or willing to fix existing bug's and flaw's. instead of this they sell non working software.
if paradox will change some events, which was done by the community long time before, but not working on hardcoded features, how should someone describe this: ignorance??? i remember times in hoi-1, where there were discussions about mechanics and so on in the forums, and imaging, paradox tried to work on this, and some features made it in patches. but now, it seems like getting most money for less work.

and in this case, a patch will arrive when it's ready, is definetly not enough for me. the 5 euro don't hurt me, i'm also not tight-fisted, but even if i took this money into the next bar, the result would be better.

to the fanboy's out there. wake up. paradox is a software developer like any other on the market. other companies are patching there games too (but in some cases it's even not necessary because there products are working). paradox takes the same money for a full price game. the last games had more or less the same game engine. so i think the giving paradox a credit because they developed good games in the past is no longer necessary. and paying for something non working in the hope that the next version will be better? in this case, you should buy some stocks.

Huh,naval atachments problem is still there.A strange thing, after I installed Hotfix for one campaign it worked, and in the current campaign again I have problems?
They are fixing this I am sure.

(BTW, atachments to light carriers will be a nice adition to incoming patch :)

I mean the bug that Mussolinis RSI when created has no belliegerence and is neutral, stopping your fighting up the ITalian boot at once, and for the other the bug with Nat China puppeted by Japan via event having no leaders.
