A few questions:
1. When traveling to a nearby island (ie corsica), The army pathfinder realizes that a ship in the water can be used as a bridge. But when it boards the ship, it stops and I have to manually unload to the island. Works as intended or bug?
2. I still have no clue why I would want characters to have wealth. Can someone explain?
3. I see that corruptness and traits of characters affect governer performance. But I do not see any indication that the finesse level (or charisma) affects anything. I assumed there would be a tax multiplier or something. Am I missing something?
4. Same question for ruler. I do not see any indication that the ruler's attributes (finesse, charisma, marshal) affect anything.
5. Anything wrong with placing a high finesse individual with low loyalty to an open research slot?

Thanks a lot!

1) Works as intended
2) Events, to give one example if you have negative cash and a rich ruler he will give donations to the treasury
3) Corruptness works like this the more corrupt a governor is the more he will suqeeze from a province. This will upset the locals raising revolt risk. This will also increase both the governor's wealth and the countries tax take from the province.
4) The ruler is automatically governor of your captial province. he can also command armies.
5) Low loyalty people are always a risk (for a popular ruler the risks are very low, something needs to hit the ruler's popularity first), however they are most dangerous when comamnding an army with loyal troops with the additional loyalty penalties they get.

2) Are the individuals really so rich in comparison to the state or do I misunderstand something? I mean they often have thousands whereas the state only has 100 gold.
4) Howelse can we recognize capitals? I did not see a crown or something like that.

Character money has less value than the state money. Capitals have the governor you can't replace (he's greyed out).

I assumed something like that. But if characters can give money to the state how is the "exchange rate"?
A special symbol ("crown") for the capital province of your own or other nations would be nice.

Depends on the event.

Is tech just a blanket amount into all of the areas, then modified by the finesse of the person who is appointed to each type of tech?

What I mean is can I focus all my research points into one area (ie sliders), or is it just a base amount into all of them?

It seems that Tech is evenly divided amoung the different categories and the Governor stats and traits increase it.

what is character wealth for? I had several events where i could pay and i did... i do not see how character wealth is important at all.

Also do royal marriages have any sense in the game? I saw that the Armenian King married the sister of Antiochos King of Seleucids... was it random or can be decided by event? What are the effects of it? May the rulers become friends and aly or what?

What decides which provinces can trade with which others? Some adjacent provinces can trade but some others not...

Can games be saved?

The Leader of a Faction can give money to the State if it runs out. There are other events that invole wealth as well.

Don't know about marriages.

Provinces need Roads in order to Trade and be adjacent. Overseas Trade needs Ports.

Is it possible to trade with foreign provinces by the way? It seems not to me...

You have to set up foreign trade via diplomacy. If they don't like you, they won't trade.

I am now playing my 3rd game as Rome.
I noticed that after the end of the 2nd punic war, there is always something new with Syracuse.
In my second game, an event fired and I got a core on Syracuse (quick war, annexation, badboy...).
In my third game, they proposed to pay me a tribute maybe 2 weeks after the peace treaty with Carthage. Our relation was very bad like -100. After accepting their money, I proposed an alliance and they accepted !
Will there be a way to diplo-annex like in EU3 ?

Heh, ironically, I've yet to have any interaction with Syracuse, beyond badgering them for military access, lol.

I have a question about the Civic Duty NA. Does it apply only to defensive battles (your army is sitting in a province and another army marches in) or to every battle when enemies are charging your lines? Does it help phalanx-loving Greeks more than Romans?
