I´d like to recomend this AAR, So Far From God, So Close To Russia: A Romanian AAR . The guy writes it in a veeery clear style, yet he describes scenes quite well, has great character development adn even a very cool flash movie. So, I recomend you fellows to rush to it and read it, it really kicks *ss!

And I have no interest in this announcement since I didn´t write it (besides the $5000 he payed me for it, but that´s another matter, eh?)

The short guy tucks his hanky back into the pocket. He walk up to the bAARtender and flips him a couple of Reichmarks. "Time to get back into the cold my friend, I hope that mess in Norway is sorted out by now."

Fellows, I have a question for you. Do you read the AARland Gazette? Have you an idea for an AARticle? If so, why aren't you getting involved? There is just a bit MORE than writing and reading AARs. This is a community. I know Alexandru is a bit laid back, but I MUST know the answers to these questions!

Good chap, you want a sincere answer with the most sincere sincerity of the world? *drinks a gulp of black beer* I don´t really acess the main AAR forum a lot, I usually go inside the game-specific forums directly. But I´ll force my mind into reading one of those very-confusing AARticles by ALexandru H.

coz1 walks into the Mess Hall badly in need of a brewsky. He passes by the food line without notice and slumps into a chair at the nearest table

Beer me! Hey, any other takers on Amric's question? I'd be interested to know as well. And on a related note, don't miss the next issue of the AARland Gazette. It comes to your quAARtermaster's tent tomorrow, and I'm sure Alexandru will have plenty of copies to distribute since he is The Man this issue!

coz1 downs his beer and looks over some of the latest AARs to make it past enemy lines.

Another beer, right here! Ah...God bless you,

Chiang Kai-Shek and Jack Burton (from John Carpenter's Big Trouble in Little China) come walking in and order a couple of beers.

Jack: When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, looks you crooked in the eye and asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yessir, the check is in the mail."

Chiang: I don't have the slightest idea where you come up with this junk!

Jack: Like I told my last wife, I said, "Honey, I never drive faster than I can see, and besides... it's all in the reflexes."

Chiang: You know I had three wives and the last one lived to be over 100...

The California trucker cuts off the Chinese Warlord.

Jack Burton: Hey, I'm a reasonable guy. But I've just experienced some very unreasonable things.

Chiang: And you're about to experience some more.

Jack Burton: Okay, I get the picture White Tigers, Lords of Death, guys in funny suits throwing plastic explosives while poison arrows fall from the sky and the pillars of heaven shake, huh? Sure, okay, I see Charlie Chan, Fu Manchu and a hundred howlin' monkey temples, and that's just for starters, right? Fine! I'm back! I'm ready, goddammit let me at 'em!

Chiang: Let's then go to Big Trouble in Nationalist China, the new AAR by Battleline!

(The author would be thrilled if you would take a look. Link is in the signature.

Vigilantsldr walks into the bAAR after a long hiatus.

I would also like to recommend Battlelines new AAR. Check it out or prepare to meet me around back to settle the issue!

One another note, I want to mention how saddened I am with the loss of LD from these forums. It is my hope that he returns one day to this bAAR to have a drink of Coke with me and to toast the good times that we all shall have again! CHEERS TO LD! AND COKE IS ON ME!

"Are you finished." The Baarkeep asked, finding it odd that the old soldier had been silent for sometime and his story unfinished.

"Eh, what?" Major Holroyd sat up and looked at his empty tankard. "Must of dozed off, any way as I was saying ..."

I'm sorry I don't visit the Mess Hall quite often. I'm trying to finish college and it's not very easy for a quartermaster to do everything he would like to do....

With that, Alexandru returns to his usual bussiness, which is dull and unattractive

*Vigilantsldr looks up from the Coke that he has been drinking.*

Thats o.k. Alexandru H., I get free Cokes all the time when you aren't here! Wait a minute, did I just say that out loud or did I just think it? Oops! Well anyway guys, I've got some business to take care of around back. Talk to you later.

*Picks up Lt.Col.Kilgore by the short hairs on the back of his neck and escorts him to the back alley.*

*Greven walks into quite possbly the largest baar he'd ever walked into*

"One day I'm going to be somebody," he whispers to himself.

*Keenly aware that Literary dieties, Jopi, Lt.Col.Kilgore, and Mr. El Grande himself Rustican probably visited these hallowed halls at some point he finds and empty seat.*

Bartender, I'd like a round of whisket for everyone in here. I'm not trying to buy fame or respect it's simply the polite thing for a newcomer to do where I come from.

*Opens his book and begings work on his own AAR in hopes of eventual greatness.*

A man carrying a heap of papers enters the Mess. After ordering a drink ('What's cheapest?') he feels the time is right for an announcement.

"I've just started a story called Defending the revolution. Why not have a look at it?"

With that the man sits down, sips his cheap drink slowly and tries to make some sense out of his scribbled manuscript.

McHeinrich walks in, and sidles up to the bar. Tipping his hat to vigilantsldr, he orders a Coke. Slipping over to a table, he opens his copy of "Romanian Aces of World War 2." Being McHeinrich, he soon is muttering to himself.

"Wow, I sure could have used a few of these guys in my AAR" A few faces look up from their grog and say "What AAR?!"

Being absent-minded, he looks up sheepishly. "Oh, I almost forgot. Nuclear Winter told me I should drop in here and announce my AAR. It's about Romania!" Pulling a piece of paper from his backpack, he scoots over to the bulletin board and tacks up a Post-It(tm) that says the following:

So Far From God, So Close To Russia: A Romanian AAR

After he finishes his coke and Chapter 1 of his book, he leaves a handful of lei on the table and leaves another handful at the bar.

"For the next time Nuclear Winter comes in." he explains, and hums Respighi as he exits.

Zuckergußgebäck marches into the mess, wearing a spiked helmet, jackboots and a Kaiser-Wilhelm-moustache.

- My AAR has just been updated, it contains a very pchyo... psuyko... fycho... ARGH!.. deep going discussion about sculptures, check it out!

He them stomps out screaming 'To Verdun!' and equally ridiculous things...

A Trooper walks in. He looks hot and flustered, he searches for a barmaid, finds her. 'Arh, 'darlin do you think i could 'av me a club sndwich without the fillings, Ta".

The waitress goes to inform the cook of his order. He watches her walk away, silently lusting at her curvaceous arse. He is abruptly brought back to reality when he sneezes. He produces a hanky and excuses himslef. He finds a comfy chair and puts his feet up, the laces are undone and swing towards the floor. He notices his laces are untied and lifts his legs to tye them, as he does a small scrap of paper falls out of his pocket.

On it is enscribed, in a scribbled writing:

Just started new After Action Report, named it
The NewZealandAAR. Look it up if you have a spare minute.

Lots of Love

A. Tropper
XxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxX

The paper is returned to his pocket and his laces are tyed. He catches sight of the barmaid and see's she has his order, 'excellent' he says licking his lips.

Sliver Legion marches into the mess and begins to babble about how the idiots in Argentina have been annexing to many countries. After a couple of minutes he suggests an AAR telling about Argentina's rampage. He firmly suggested that everyone reads it and staggers out of the mess to go shoot at some japenese.

Vigilantsldr looks around at the rest of the folks in the bAAR.

Well fellas, I need everyone's help in my new AAR. It's 1944 in Germany and things are looking bleak. Stop by and post there if you have a suggestion on how to turn the tide. Oh, and my Haitian AAR will continue without delay!
Now if you'd all pardon me for a bit, I have some work to do.

With that said Vigilantsldr gets up and heads out the door.
