Mr. Capiatlist returns refreshed, and actually happy. After learning much from his first (failed) AAR, and even his newest over in the EUII arena, he has abandoned the sinking Lux AAR market (Satcho left him alone), and put stock (and a new Avatar) into the Hungarian one.
"I plan to do it more like my Prussian one, more of an over view; not a 3rd-person narrative... Though it will be more percise because, this game will last 12 years, not 400 . So check out my new AAR, hopefully the first installment will be posted soon! Oh, and the title means "I don't need Austria, to be great" in Hungarian (or magyarul )." He thanks the bAAR tender for his advise, which he had started to sense before, but being stubborn never applied. He also remarks that he'd do it with his Liechtenstein AAR, but you can't over-view a nation you can't play...

Alexandru H. looks impaciently at the door. coz1 is late with the morning edition....

Well, I think coz1 will not come today. But threat not, the AARland Gazette shall present its second issue on time, Sunday...So, be ready to enjoy some excellent aarticles, from some fellow forumites. We could use colaborators from the HoI crowd, so maybe some of you should try to give us a call....

With a bucket o'fish in his hand and a bucket o'beer in his belly, Alexandru H. returns full of joy and other feelings easily expressed in the little officAARs' room....

Just came over from a party. It's Anibal's birthday, and he decided to shower us with presents consisting in alchool, booze and drinks...The little guy, so giving, so caring...with an AAR so "abandoned". Anyways, if you wanna come, here is the address: Girls o'plenty Restaurant...

Jopi walks into the bAAR confidently. John Cleese is following him. John sits, and says: "And now, something completely different: An AAR, where America faces wrath of the whole world. " John leaves after he got his (hefty) paycheck.
Score between Jopi and the world is now 1-0, and the world is crying out for revenge... Will the success of Roman Empire be repeated or will this game end in defeat? (Link in sig)

*Semi-Lobster returns from a long trip from the men's room*

I've done it! A new update! I've been very busy slacking off and reading other people's AARs! I see Jopis starting a new AAR, I can't wait to see his first update for what will most likely be a kick arse AAR!

A short fellow with a dark mustache steps in and brushes the snow off his shoulders. Takes a seat and orders a slate of Sauerkraut and a large Beer.

He pull out a hankerchief and blows his nose placing the used hanki on the table clearly displaying the bloodstain and the initials E.D. Slight shivers are visible on a group of German officAARs noticing this as they pass the table.

Gentlemen, Ghost_dk and Jopi, if you could be so kind as to remove those quotes before Alexandru comes through with the big quote gun. They are rather frowned upon in these establishments. The gun is mighty messy and I'd hate to see you both get dirty - woops, too late.

And Alexandru - I will be sure to drop off the morning edition tomorrow, on time

Zanza eats a few peanuts and smokes a cuban cigar while he reads the newest issue of the AARland Gazette. It's easy to read from his face how much he enjoys this latest news from all the AAR fora and the articles about AAR-related topics.

"Quartermaster, may I have a glass of wine, please? A French one, perhaps a 1932 Château Camensac? Or something similar? Any recommendations?
Oh, 'recommendations', that reminds me of something. I recently read a story about 'Plan Großdeutschland', a very detailed story and well written. If you are in for a good reading, I suggest you to have a look at it. Another nice story I read recently was 'A first time players AAR' about the United Kingdom in its finest hour."

 

[Semi-Lobster]

Semi-Lobster sits at the table closest to the window as he munches down the last sloppy bits of his tuna sandwich, each dolphin free morsels is soon within the writers stomach which had been hoping for a tuna sandwich for an unusually extended period of time. He calls for the paper which is thrown hapzardly towards the relaxing writer who is enjoying the scenary out the window and in the the wonderful landscape of the country of.... umm.... AARland. The AARland Gazette lands neatly beside Semi-Lobster's model of the Siam Mougkut. He reads it and enjoys the articles and the AARs reccommended.

"Excellent work guys! Wait.... is this just going to be an 'atta-boy' post? ? Good job though, I'm surprised you can keep this work up every week while I can barely get an update up in such a span of time!"

Well, it's a bimonthly effort, to be honest, but it's hard enough. For example, your esteemed Quartermaster was unable to write an article for the second issue, and his collegues will flog him to death and then...excuse me, too much Passion these days

Ok, guys, here are the drinks. But be warned, we don't accept credit cards...If you have a problem with this, talk to my good bouncer Karl...

Stroph enters the Mess Hall, amazingly enough carrying a baby on his shoulders.

"The new LibrAARy is partially up. I have the alphabetical listings updated. If I get time tomorrow, I will get the regions updated. However, Friday, I am off on a trip for a week so if it is not done then, it will have to wait until I return."

The baby begins to cry and LibrAARian pulls out a bottle...

As Zanza has finished reading the great gazette and also finished his wine and cigar, he thinks aloud: "Perhaps I should look for a few new stories in the librAARy... Great work, Stroph1."

Ive been surfing these forums witthout posting for a few months now and think i can spot a good AAr in the making and i would recommend you to give Rudolf Bretts Tale Of A Revaloution-A Gambian AAr, i think this is going to be a cracker as he has actaully gone out to the country to gather research and apparently the first few chapters are to be written whilst out there

VigilantSldr walks into the mess after a long absence.

It seems that AAR traffic has slowed down a bit this past weekend. I wonder why? Surely it has nothing to do with a new patch for HoI! Well, I will soon release a new German AAR on the '44 scenario. I will not play this scenario until I begin the AAR. I will post the updates as I play and use screenies so folks and help with their input.

After taking a breath VigilantSldr looks around the mess.

Dadburn me! I was talking to an empty room! Oh well.

Amric walks in and posts an announcement.

Well people it is that time again! Best Megalomaniacal Conquest Spree is the latest EUII OscAAR to be voted upon! So get out there and VOTE!
