What was that for? :( The bAAR fight is over, Zuck! I need help with my Prussia AAR; should it be writen as a 3rd person real-time narrative; or a over view of what's happening; or from the point of view of the soldiers who fought in it? Tell me what you guys prefer so that I can write a better AAR.

Just a word of caution, please call me Zuckergußgebäck, mostly because there is another user called Zuck, if you find my name too long, come up with something else, also I´d like to notify that the sad ending of Vikings at 12´o´clock has occured, the AAR is at an end, Iceland is conquered...

Nipping at his drink, Zanza reads a newspaper. After he finished he folds the newspaper and raises his voice: "Sorry, gentlemen, have you already seen this new gazette? Looks very promising."

Alexandru hands out another drink to Zanza:

- Yes, today was a bitch. The gazette will be ready tommorow, after going through extremly many changes, but it is a good initiative and worthy of your attention. We will try to involve many people and hopefully, there will be many interested in submiting aarticles to the EditAARs...

Valdemar leans on the counter,

"pour me another coffee Alex"

He turns towards Zuckergußgebäck and mr Capiatlist, "you guys should consider less direct chat and more "in character", its a very good excersice for 3rd person AARs"

Zanza is delighted that is craving for alcohol is eased by the gentle quartermaster: "Thanks for the drink, quartermaster. I drink on you and the fellows who help you with this great new piece of community work. 'Kanpai!' as the Japanese say."

Zuckergußgebäck shoots Mr. Capiatlist in the head.
The icelandic AAR might still be alive, but you are not-
Then he truns towards the crowd and says:

For those of you who haven´t noticed, I´ve updated my AAR

I thought I made it very clear that the fighting had to stop? This is the last warning the Mess is NOT a place to up your postcount, if you cannot be in Character and keep it AAR related then don't post.

Adding "I've updated my AAR" will not save you. Less spamming, more actual AARing.

Sauntering into the bAAR in the late hours of a quiet Tuesday morning, jmazur finds himself a seat at a table secluded in the background. Still shaking off the daze of a night's rest, he unfolds the daily paper to take a look at the odds for the next HOI Writer of the Week. Speaking to no one in particular, but to anyone within earshot...

Hmmm...I like Zanza or Ghost_dk in the upcoming race. That's were I'd put my money.

Lazily folding the paper up, he orders his traditional cup of coffee before he starts his day.

Mr. Capiatlist runs into the bAAR in his regular fasion; his head had some large bandages on it. "Satcho's "Rest STop to the West" has ended! GO read the last of it and try to convince him to continue the AAR!" He pulls out his Luger and puts a couple bullets into Zuck, before turning to lead the crowd to Satcho's AAR.

Ah, the hell with it.

Mr. Capiatlist raises his glass, "Everyone, I'd like to make a toast. To Satcho, who has finished his Luxembourg AAR! Which leaves me alone in the field of Lux AARs... Long may he write funny AARs that make us spit beer out our noses an hour after we drink it!
TO SATCHO!"
Mr. Caiatlist drinks his vodka then falls over on the floor.

Mr.C. stands back up and says in a slurred voice, "Why doesn't everyone go over to the "Rest Stop to the West" AAR now and give Satcho a big round of applause after reading the whole thing through? It is only fair after all the work he has done!" Then Mr.C. wobbles out of the bAAR and to his car. Fortunetally, he is too drunk to find his keys, so he falls asleep on the hood.

"TO SATCHO!"

Rafiki wanders into the Mess. Not as tired as he thought he'd be, having fought for the freedom of Luxembourg and for the glory of Basket Weavers everywhere (granted, the battle lasted 4 hours, so how tired can you get?) he walks backs out to where Mr C has collapsed on the hood of his cAAR.

Lieutenant, I'm afraid the rumours of the end of Satcho's Excellent AAR aren't quite true, at least not yet. We still have to find out what happens to Beck and his Aide before heading into the forest to look for hidden caches of poodles!

The general walks back into the bar, ordering and drinking a Braastad XO to warm his saddened heart before heading back out into the Ardennes to see this thing through to the bitter (or perhaps not-so-bitter?) end.

Zuckergußgebäck enters and appears to be in a sad mood,
(WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!) to say the least.

He swallows three beers and then a alarm clock starts to ring.

- Jippee! Wewonwewonwewonwewon!

As you all have guessed, Zuckergußgebäck is having a tight schedule, not only fighting for both sides in the battle for Luxemburg, he is also falling through the clouds towards a small nation far down below....

RRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

He sighes and walks out to fight for luxemburg although the rest of the country has surrendered.

A tall man, dressed in what looks like the latest fashion of the 1850ies or earlier, makes his way through the crowd. He is obviously awed by the style and modernity of the place, still he advances with a determined look on his face until he stands right in front of the stage.
There he produces a 9-feet-long sprear which once must have belonged to an Austrian uhlan, which he rams tip-downwards into the grubby flooring. He then uses two tacks to fix a large piece of handmade paper to it, on which is written:

I hereby wish to call Smirfy´s marvellous gold-nugget of an AAR
[thread=123478] England was a small Island at the outskirts of Europe[/thread]
to everyone´s attention.

It would certainly amuse and entertain every connoisseur of historical accuracy,
including, but not limited to, myself.
Signed:
Meltdown1986 esq.

He then repairs back to the exit, throwing back a last glance into the room before he leaves.

Alexandru hands out the vodkas to the Capiatlist fellow who seems to have failed in his great endeavour.

Hey, don't worry about that. I loved your 11 replies.... Seriously now, you need to think about several things

a) View count rather than post count. You have over 1,000 views so this should tell something about the fact that your AAR is indeed read
b) Try to mingle more in other people's AAR. They will try to do the same for your work, as well
c) Change your style. If you are writing especially to get replies (and this is what I understood), change it. People don't like to be rushed to post and maybe most of them are incomfortable with your current style. Try to do something else, something catchy...Attract them by any means necessary, but attract them

The QuaAARtermaster then returns to his usual crowd and gives away booze for free: "In the Honour of LD, who returned home after a very short absence, and in the Honour of Rustican's last update. Drink up!"

Estonianzulu enters the Mess slowly.

Well, I was just passing through, and I happened to notice a lovely new AAR, I figured I must show to you all. Yes, yes. We've all read Soviet AAR's, but that doesn't mean they can't be good eh? A newcomer to the AAR forum, he's gotten off to a great start as the big bear. Henrix, I believe his name is, has started A new Soviet AAR. Its really quite good.

Oh, and while I am here, I figure it would be a good time to remind you all of the past. A french AAR, like you don't see many of those around here, has kicked up some interest over in Victoria. Fransoserna kommer! or some other title equally confusing to me, has kept me entertained for a good while. Check it out.

Oh, one last thing. Back to the second world war. PAX Romania by, hmm, RossN I believe, is quite enjoyable. Its always good to see a minor survive longer then I ever can. Perhaps one day I shall learn to actually win this war...
